TRADING STATUS: ACTIVE FOR NEW TRADES. SORRY, NO B & P'S AT THIS TIME.
TRADING NEWS:
1-12-03 As you can see, Heartland is still in the process of redesign. The trading section is still under quite a bit of construction. In the meanwhile, please visit the old trading pages at http://www.freewebz.com/bjs_heartland/home.html to view my trading lists.
7-1-02 The newest Heartland accomplishment: I extracted the audio file from the Manray Elevation promo show to mp3. It came out pretty darn good for my first try! I also converted to vcd: MANRAY, VH1 STORYTELLERS (New Day with Bono & Wyclef Jean), CHICAGO 5/12/01 (FINALLY!), and SLANE 9/1/01.6-11-02 Heartland video conversions are under way. New to VCD this past week: Lorelei Germany 1983 (60mins); video compilation (vcd#3 see list for details); save the yuppy san fran 1989 (60mins); jt syracuse 10-9-87 (114 mins/3 vcds).
6-2-02 I am in the process of converting Chicago Elevation 5/12/02 to video cd. I've upgraded the storage capacity on my computer to allow for full show conversions to video cds. The video quality will not be as good as the original after conversion is complete, but I would rate it around a B+. There is NO loss of audio quality for during mpeg conversion, it's only the video that suffers a little loss. Again, I remind you that these video cds will not play on a dvd player. They are strictly for cd-rom drives on a computer. If you are intersted in vhs-to-vcd conversions for trading, let me know, but please understand this a time-intensive process. I will be gradually converting my entire video collection and short tv appearances to vcd.
5-5-02 Have you often wondered about VHS/DVD regions? Who uses PAL? Who uses NTSC? Can I trade with them? Here's a great web page I found that charts the regions for you. http://www.erasofelegance.com/palsmap.html
4-28-02 Heartland now has the technology to convert VHS video to video-cd (PC only formatted for cdroms-will NOT play on dvd players).
TRADING POLICY BACK TO TOP
NOTE ABOUT BOOTLEGS: I HAVE HAD MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT QUALITY OF AUDIO & VIDEO. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT UNLESS IT IS AN OFFICIAL RELEASE, IT WILL HAVE FLAWS !! AS THE SIZE OF MY COLLECTION HAS GROWN AND THE TIME I HAVE TO SCRUTINIZE THE QUALITY HAS NOT, I CANNOT ANSWER FOR EVERY SINGLE POP TICK AND BLIP IN ADVANCE. I WILL SAY IN SUMMARY, NOTHING I HAVE IS OF SUCH POOR QUALITY THAT IT CANNOT BE TOLERATED TO SEE OR HEAR. IF YOU ARE A VERY DISCRIMINATING COLLECTOR, THIS MAY NOT BE THE PLACE FOR YOU. IF YOU RECEIVE SOMETHING IN TRADE FROM ME AND HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT IT AFTER, I WILL TRY TO ANSWER THEM FOR YOU, BUT NEARLY 100% OF THE TIME, THE ITEM YOU WILL RECEIVE IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS MY MASTER RECORDING.
- I will accept trades for NTSC format video and good sounding CDs. (NO PAL FORMAT VIDEO!!)
- I DO NOT SEND JEWEL CASES or artwork and I don't expect you to send them to me. You can find lots of good cover art at FLOM or http://keith.hispeed.com/u2/atyclb/liners.htm. FLOM also houses alot of coverart for older boots, so this is a great reference.
- I am currently using Maxell, FujiFilm and/or TDK CDRs. I know some folks are particular about what CDs they burn on, so please let me know up front if this is a problem and I will try to accommodate your needs. I WILL NOT ACCEPT MEMOREX CDRS in trade. They have a reputation for poor quality with extended play and will deteriorate over time.
- I prefer to receive your end of the trade before I send out mine. Once I receive your end, I will ship yoursout within the next 5-10 US mail days or around a date that we agree on. If I am unhappy with what you sent me, I'll return your materials on my dime immediately, or we can work something else out.
- If the item is listed as COMING SOON, please wait until it is received before establishing a trade. (Please inquire with me, since I may have forgotten to update the list and change the status).
- When sending your end of the trade, please enclose the following with the shipment: YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS (the one we have been contacting each other through) and YOUR LIST of what you want in return. YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. (Yeah, you would think that was a given, but I've actually had to figure these things out sometimes!)
- If you have a trading webpage, please send me the link! Not only would I love to see it, but I'll be happy to link you to my site on the links page (include your banner if you have one in an email).
- A word about Video CDS: This is kind of a new medium for me. I cannot mix n match from various cds. These video cds (for lack of better terminology) can NOT be played in a dvd player or dvd-rom drive. They are not formatted for that. They will only play in a regular computer cd-rom or cd-rw drive, provided that you have the right software installed on your PC (ex: Real Player, Windows Media Player, Quicktime Player, etc).
CDs:
- The other 3 CDs that go with the Axtung Bebei sessions. See this page for details (a link I stumbled on; credit to the author of it): http://www.u2-archiv.de/flom/reviews-s/sessions.htm
- Any CDs from Popmart, ZooTV, Joshua Tree/Lovetown, Unforgettable Fire or earlier tours (full shows only).
VIDEO (NTSC) or VCD:
- Amateur Elevation Boston 6/6/01
- Elevation Pittsburgh 5/6/01
- Elevation Copenhagen 7/7/01
- Elevation Providence 10/31/01
- Elevation Kansas City11/27/01
- Any bootleg concert video from Joshua Tree Tour or Zoo TV Tour of GOOD quality.
QUESTIONS?
Email me at bonojunkie60@msn.com. When emailing, please include "Trading Question" in the subject line, and please mention your trading page web address if you have one (it's nice to view things upfront!).
A WORD ABOUT TRACKLISTS
Even though I have a tracklist page, it's always under construction. If you need a setlist for a live show that isn't listed here, try U2Tours.com or see my Elevation Tour archives under the tour page. If you're looking for bootleg cd tracklists for anything older than Pop-era recordings, goto FLOM. Another highly recommended resource for setlists is U2 Setlists. Their information is updated from 1978 through the 3rd leg Elevation Tour.
