To put it in perspective I grew up in Poland, moved to Canada in 1989 where I've been living since. I studied Graphic Design at George Brown College graduating in 1995. I have been painting since the late 80's. When I make art I want to show the sensibility, creativity and originality of my visual expression. I do like to experiment and I do not limit myself to a certain brush stroke, color or tool to create art. I work with different form and medium, creating variety of work, from 3-dimetional pieces to flat paintings, abstracts to figurative, heavy textures and color to monochrome. I'm not afraid to take a step in a different direction even if it's stylistically different form my previous work. After the piece is completed I don't feel it's necessary to explain to the viewer what I had in mind creating it, I want the viewer to find something personal in the artwork, unique for themselves. What I see in the painting maybe completely different from what you see and this is perfectly fine with me, I want you to find something there that will make it work for you. Everyone of us has a different set of emotional background and ways of expressing it, art is my way of expression. |
