History
While still a high-school student, Jay Amherst somehow attracted the attention of the alien demi-goddess Tashaara, who used her powers to shapeshift him permanently into a horse. He eventually accepted this form, and sired many sentient (intelligent) horses. These, in turn, eventually sired a race of centaurs. After he was killed in an accident, his spirit joined Tashaara as her companion.
