FUNDRAISING

With the approaching publication of our newly revised and updated Central High School Alumni Directory, we now have a record of the almost 50,000 graduates of CHS since 1923 and we actually have contact information for 22,000 of them. This makes it fiscally impossible for us to mail our newsletter to all of our graduates free. To ensure that you receive the newsletter, you will have to be a supporter of the alumni association. That means, you will have to purchase a ticket to our banquet and register your attendance at the door, purchase one of our fund raising items, or make a contribution to our programs. A contribution of as little as $5.00 will keep you on our subscription list as a supporting member. Please support our programs and keep your CHS Alumni newsletter coming. Send your contribution to Central High School Alumni, 601 Crapo Street, Flint, Michigan 48503-2093. Make your check payable to "Central High Alumni."      

            You may also keep up on Alumni Association activities by perusing our web site which is hosted by Freewebz at www.freewebz.com/chsaa/. Over the next few months we expect to expand the information posted there to include a complete list of our honorees, pictures form our banquets, a picture of the award plaque display stand in the CHS library, and news about our upcoming events.

            Should any of you wish to purchase a copy of the new Alumni Directory 2005, copies are available from the publisher, B.C. Harris, Inc. Should your directory information be incorrect or incomplete, or should you wish to change it, please contact us at fchsaa@comcast.net. If we do publish a new edition of the directory, we will have the latest, correct information for you to start with.

             Incidentally, the former girls shower room provided your Alumni Association with a source for the marble from which we make three practical and attractive FCHS souvenir items; a paperweight, a desk set with two pens, and a letter holder. Each is affixed with a red brass plaque engraved with the CHS Indian logo and the motto "Academic excellence since 1923." Also available are T-Shirts and sweatshirts with our Indian logo. You may order using the form below.

The Flint Central High School Alumni Association welcomes and needs your generous contributions to our scholarship program. We also appreciate your suggestions for future Distinguished Alumni Award recipients.
