One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.
~Oscar Wilde

Fashion is only the attempt to realize art in living forms and social intercourse.

A little girl's dream
One of my most beloved dreams has been to become a fashion designer. It began when I was a little girl. I remember spending a lot of time drawing in my childhood. I used to draw mainly girls dressed in different outfits. My best friend at the time and I used to compare drawings and tell each other how we both wanted to become designers someday. I always had a good sense of style but never really used it until my teenage years. But by the time I hit puberty, I had became one coquettish young lady and had already started using makeup and beauty products.

Fashion as hobby
Now that I'm in my early twenties, I still love experimenting with makeup and getting dressed up. I follow fashion trends but always try to add a little personal touch to my outfits to retain my individuality. A shopping lover, I collect fashion tops of all kinds and accessories. I have designed my own ballroom costumes and matching accessories (for Latin and Standard) since my parents bought me a sewing machine in February 2001.

Goals
Although mastering the basic sewing techniques is still a challenge to me, I'm confident that with patience and hard work, I can improve. Even if I do not become a fashion designer, I hope to be able to create an entire wardrobe for myself and a variety of ballroom costumes. I also hope to be able to sew for my future home and create beautiful drapes, pillow cases, bed linen, tablecloths etc..
