My family and I flew to Los Angeles, California on Thanksgiving
day. On Friday, we toured Los Angeles going through Hollywood,
Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica. On Sunday, we drove south to
San Diego and through Coronado and Newport.
Later in the afternoon, we started our quest to Las Vegas, Nevada.
We arrived in Vegas at sundown and visited the Venetian, Paris,
and Bellagio hotels/casinos (and even played the slot machines
a little). Exhausted, we spent the night right on the strip.
Early the next day, we packed our bags once again and drove north
to San Francisco. We arrived in San Francisco in the afternoon
and started touring the beautiful city. We took pictures by the
port, rode the little tram through the city, drove through the
Golden Gate to Sausalito, and then returned downtown S.F. to walk
through Chinatown.
Later in the evening, we set out once again to return to Los
Angeles and settled for the night at a motel 180 miles from L.A.
Early the next day, we took the road and stopped by the gorgeous
Refugio beach and then Santa Barbara. Finally, on Tuesday afternoon,
we arrived at the L.A. airport and caught our flight back to Washington
D.C. Thus ended our journey through California.
The following are pictures from my little journey. It was a tiring
journey but well worth it, for I got a glimpse of most of California.
The beaches in California are gorgeous and the weather is pleasantly
mild. I said I would return to Vegas and I did (sooner than I
thought). Now I vow to return to California some day (hopefully
soon)!
