Clarinet Connexions

 

Established in 2002, Clarinet Connexions is a clarinet choir based in the Lansing, Mi. area.  What started out as a clarinet quartet grew to a 25 plus member clarinet choir. We have performers who drive from the mid -Michigan area to perform with us at our bi -monthly rehearsals as well as our various concerts that we perform throughout the year.

Our members include many people from various age ranges and professions,  also including proficient high school students and  retirees,  The choir consists of the whole clarinet instrument family which includes the: Eb soprano clarinet, Bb soprano clarinet, Eb alto clarinet, Bb bass clarinet, Eb contra alto clarinet, and the Bb contra bass clarinet. 

 

We are under the baton of Armand Hall, a clarinetist and a U.M. music education graduate, who is also a middle school band director in Farmington Hill, Mi..

 

Our repertoire involves many styles of music which includes transcriptions for choir from Bach, Beethoven, and Barber, to Rimsky- Korsakov, Villa Lobos, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. We also have many pieces written specifically for clarinet choir.
