Oh geez, guys. I'm sorry. I feel like I've let you all down by not updating more. But seriously, I was away for 95% of the summer. I was home for only about two weeks before I had to move back to school. Things are pretty busy right now 'cause classes just started but I hope to do some small updates this weekend.

There hasn't been much news concerning the Phonics except that they'll be contributing to Paul Weller's upcoming album.

I feel like I live in a void. I feel really weird right now. Something great happened today (I got really good seats for The Strokes concert in Boston!!) and something bad happened too. Something really embarrassing. I'm still shaking a bit.

07.18.02
Oh man, I really should be studying. But again, I'm procrastinating. Let's see, I'll try not to ramble on. I'd like to thank Nickie Morgan for linking to my site and I've added her site, Stereophotos, to my submitted links section. I've also updated the Tour dates. Stereophonics are playing a "warm-up" gig to the v2002** shows on August 15th at the Corn Exchange. Tickets are already sold out of course. Hmm, what else? I've discovered the website for a Phonics' tribute band. How cool is that?! There are some mp3s on the site and they sound pretty damn good, even though no one can match Kelly's voice...

Ok, and a little incentive for you to sign my guestbook.
WANT TO HEAR PHONICS' NEW SONG, MADAM HELGA?
SIGN MY GUESTBOOK, SEND ME AN EMAIL, AND I'LL SEND YOU THE LINK.

**I'd like to wish Neil of Travis a speedy recovery from his accident. I hope that he doesn't try to play at v2002 if he's still not better. They should find a temp replacement if necessary. You shouldn't mess with vertebrae fractures.

just updated: submitted links, fave links, tour

06.26.02
Just a quick update. Stereophonics have been confirmed as the special guests for Saturday night at the Glastonbury Festival on the official festival website. Also, if you are having trouble getting to web pages here, it's cause my host is updating and is still fixing some bugs. So hang in there and check back often! Cheers!

It's about time I did something!! I got back to school a few weeks ago, but my schedule's been really tight. I just took two midterm exams for my classes and now I decided to take a wee break. I've posted two articles from Q 190: the feature article about Oasis and a tour diary by Phonics. There's some pics with the Phonics article. I haven't scanned the Oasis pics though. (They look so damn cool too!) I also uploaded some pics from when I saw Starsailor in Providence. I still haven't developed the rest of those pics yet, particulary the ones with me and the band. Still trying to find a decent place to get B/W pics done from the Boston Phonics' concert. Also, I posted some tour dates for Phonics. Ok well, enjoy what you can! When I really get out for a decent summer vacation, I'll do some serious work on this site. It's really quite sad..

Oh yeah!! My friends and I are seeing Oasis in concert in August!!! Woo-hoo!!

just updated: tour, writings, extras

Happy Cinco de Mayo (Mexico) and Children's Day (Japan) everyone!! I've finally moved all the pages to the new host. Some pages/files are still linked to Geocities though. Oh, Geocities will be having a schedule downtime from the 17th to the 19th so some pages will be temporarily inaccessible. I've got a shiteload of stuff to do, so that's all for now!!

05.02.02
It's been a while, but I've been busy. BUT hehe, I took a well deserved study break on Tuesday and went to see Starsailor perform downtown for the MTV Campus Invasion Tour. It was an incredible experience even though there were downsides (weather sucked, crowd sucked). The band totally rocked and did their best. And I GOT TO MEET THEM ALL!!! I was so nervous talking to them. Ok, ok, I have to stop now or I'll get carried away. I need sleep. I'll post a full review with plenty of details sometime Friday, Saturday, but most likely Sunday. First I have to finish a 10 page paper and then I have to work all Friday night and basically all day Saturday. But I'll at least write it in my journal though before I forget everything. Oh yeah! I took pictures with them (except Ben I think) and of them as they were performing, but I can't develop/scan them until I'm back home on May 14th or so. But they'll be up eventually. Oh, and the rest of the Phonics pics from the Boston concert should be developed and scanned too. Alright then, cheers!! (James said cheers to my friend and I as we left!! teehee) Ah gosh, I have to stop... but.. oh so many good moments to share!!

04.23.02
The days are winding down. My first year of college is almost over. I've made mistakes but I've learned a lot and am looking forward to a productive and enjoyable summer. I'll be staying here at Brown for part of the summer to take a couple of courses (hopefully, if financial aid pays for a good chunk of tuition). I'm gonna be better prepared, more relaxed, but also more focused than I've been during the past months. AND I'll be able to continue working on this site with a LAN connection, which is wooonderful!!

I've finished moving the Pictures to the new host, which is wooonderful as well. I'm starting to move the other pages to that host too, so expect some pages to be down temporarily.

It's funny. I made this site hoping to get some North American fans here but everyone's who's signed my guestbook has been from a different part of the world (excluding those entries by my friends here obviously). I need to join some cliques or find ways to increase the traffic to Traffic. Any suggestions??

04.14.02
Konnichiwa minna-san!! Hello/good afternoon everybody!! I actually made some progress with this site. I've found a new host, freewebz.com, that seems to be alright so far. No more annoying pop-ups or ads, just a text link at the bottom of the page. The first pages to be moved will be the Pictures page and the rest will follow in time. That means hundreds of files to upload and links to change!! AHH!!

I'm also in the process of collecting the images and info for the discography. It's taking longer than I though 'cause most of the singles were released in several formats/versions.

04.05.02
My life's back to being shitty again. I had the worst spring break ever. But I did get an amp during the last half of break and finally got to play my electric guitar I bought a while ago. It sounds so great! I miss playing with it... My family won't let me bring either of my new guitars to school, well cause, somebody'd probably break them. I understand though. My broken guitar still plays alright.

Damn, I haven't done anything in forever. I'm just so bored with doing website stuff. I want to make graphics!! But it's too much work. Nothing much is happening with the Phonics right now, just that their DVD release has been postponed again. Still awaiting word if they'll return to North America in May for another leg of their tour. At some concerts, they said "See ya in May."

Fan of Starsailor?? I am!! Well, you can check them out live at the MTV2 stage of MTV's Campus Invasion Tour. Headlining are Nickelback, Injected, and Default. The best thing is that the Starsailor show is FREE!!! (I don't care for the other bands at all, so I don't have to bother buying tickets.) Check out MTV.COM for tour dates near you. They don't really have any local info for the venues at the website so you're gonna have to do some research on your own. As of now, I have no idea where exactly Starsailor's gonna be playing at Johnson & Wales, and the school's website doesn't give any info. Maybe I'll see you in Providence??

03.18.02
I hope you lot had an enjoyable St. Paddy's Day. I certainly did...except when some guy tried to kiss me on the head and totally caught me off guard. If you wear a pin that says "I'm not Irish but kiss me anyways", make sure you mean it. I guess so many people have the "Kiss me I'm Irish" pins that it doesn't really mean much anymore. Apparently not too many people had pins like mine. But all in all, a memorable occasion. Mols wanted to get pissed. Didn't happen. She had three Killian's, one of them was mine. Yup, I had my first taste...and it was nasty. Whatever I had left in my glass was diluted with a ton of Coke. Alcohol's just not for me. Do you have any interesting St Paddy's Day stories? Send them in, and I'll post them.

If you missed the broadcast of the Phonics concert at the HOB, well you're in luck cause I made mp3s of all the songs. Well, except for Local Boy cause I'm a bleedin eejit and I recorded over it. I'll find some way to share the songs with you lot. But until then, if you really want the songs, just IM me and I'll send them over to you. I'm usually online 24/7 but I'm not always at the comp of course, so if you can't reach me, just email me.

My html editor froze three effing times but I finally was able to fix up the Links section. Now, you're able to submit your site to the links page. I review the link a bit (I'm not too picky) and then post it on the Your Submitted Links section within a week. And maybe you can link to me too?? I'm just trying to help out fellow webmasters. It'd be nice if you could return the favor in kind.

Hey! How're y'all doin? I've got three reasons to be happy right now: 1) I think I did really well on my midterm in American Popular Music - History of Rock [awesome class! talking 'bout my generation!! that song's stuck in my head], 2) I got free glass cookware!!, and 3) they've got checks with pictures of manatees!! And here's a reason for you to be happy:

Tomorrow starting at 12 pm PST / 3 pm EST, there will be a 24-hour audio broadcast of Stereophonics' performance at the House of Blues Sunset Strip earlier this year. Here's the link:

http://www.hob.com/go/inw/0/fansite_stereophonics/

There's a function on the site to figure out what time the broadcast begins in your time zone. Don't miss out on this opportunity to hear this great live band!!

Fudge. I feel bad for not updating more often. I'm just so darn busy. (I'm actually supposed to be writing a 5 page paper right now.) BUT there are things to look forward to like St Patrick's Day in Boston, Spring Break, and maybe a White Stripes concert in April. (I dl'd a ton of their songs but haven't gotten around to listening to them yet.) My friend, Jules is at the Starsailor concert in DC right now (why didn't they come to Boston??), so if anything particulary special happens, I'll post it here sometime. Hmm, maybe tomorrow, I'll set aside some time to put up a discography and/or other stuff. Keeping up a website is a pain in the arse sometimes. I just like making graphics really.

Oh yeah, thanks to everyone who's signed my guestbook. It really makes me feel great to get compliments about this site. Complaints are welcome as well. Maybe if you make me feel bad enough, I'd actually do stuff to make the site better and more complete. Right then, see ya.

02.19.02
Back at school. Just uploaded the pics from the Phonics' Boston concert. All the pics came out great but the scanner I used messed up the colours a bit. I still have about 15 or so Phonics pics in my camera. Haven't used up all the film yet. Oh well, that's all for now.

02.15.02
I uploaded the rest of the pics I've collected so far. Again, if any of these pics are yours, please email me and I'll take them down or keep them up and give you credit. I'm going home tomorrow night so I'll finally be able to develop my film from the concert. (it's cheaper to develop pics back home) I'm not sure if I'll get them done in time to scan them, but I'll try my best. Concert review still to come. Sorry, been really busy trying to catch up with school work.

I posted a snippet about the release of the Phonics' fifth single from JEEP, "Vegas Two Times." I wonder what the b-sides will be...

Oh no, I don't think Starsailor's coming to Boston... damn...

Has anyone else noticed how Richard's tattoos have changed? I remember seeing his left arm at the concert and there was a big black circular design, I think. I looked back at some older pics to find out what it was and the designs were completely different. Hmm...

02.10.02
Hey, I haven't actually uploaded new stuff. I just wanted to give a little update to let you guys know that I'm still here. The Phonics concert was incredible. Stuart gave me a drumstick, I got one of Scott's picks, and Rich posed for some pictures for me and my friends!! Rich and Stu are the shite! JJ72 were really good too. The crowd wasn't all that receptive to them though. Sometime this week, I'll post a review with all the details. I sang all the lyrics and screamed so much that I lost my voice for a while. That and standing outside in the freezing weather must've messed up my immune system 'cause right now I'm dead sick. "Hooo, I've got something in my throat. I need to be alone while I suffer!" - Starsailor, Way to Fall (The bass in this song is so great!! It's great in every song that has bass.)

Does anyone know if Starsailor are coming to Boston soon? They have some dates in March but Boston wasn't listed. I'll be so disappointed if they don't come. Oh, I have to rant about something. How are Starsailor and Radiohead similar? It pisses me off when big sites (like AOL) describe Starsailor as "The Next Radiohead". Maybe they mean that Starsailor will be able to crossover and make it big in the American mainstream as Radiohead have, but when they make a claim like that, they're making it out to seem that the musical styles of the two bands are similar. I don't think the crowd that follows Radiohead would easily digest Starsailor's music.

02.03.02
YEAH PATS!!!! WE WON!!! U2 ROCKED!!! TOMORROW PHONICS CONCERT!!! CAN LIFE GET ANY BETTER?!

02.03.02
Yeaaah!! U2 rocked the field. Thank god there were no dancers. They played Beautiful Day and MLK/Streets. I started bawling when MLK began and the names of the 9/11 victims scrolled up this screen. Bono also said a prayer after MLK. He looked so funny running around the heart during Streets. Hehe, the guys looked great!! Larry's see-through shirt! Edge's butterfly shirt! Ahh, so cute. Bono looked really great. Rested and cleaned up. Adam was wearing the same pants he wore at Providence! I wish they could have played more songs. I had one problem though. Most of the damn people in and around the heart weren't even watching U2 perform whenever the camera swung around on them!! They just wanted to be on TV!! Ah well, I guess it couldn't be helped.

As of this post, Pats are kicking some Rams' arse. They're winning 14 to 3. Gosh dang, they'd better win.

02.03.02
SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!! WOOHOO!! PATRIOTS!! They'd better destroy the Rams today. Year after year, I've watched the Patriots come so close to getting to the Superbowl and finally they've made it!! Yeah, U2 baby! They're playing halftime. Gosh, it's gonna be weird to see them perform with hundreds of dancers twirling around the field. Today's my daddy's birthday too. Wouldn't a Patriots win be the greatest b-day present?

Yesterday, my friend, Jules, saw Phonics in concert at the 9:30 club. I haven't spoken to her yet, but she'll give me all the details later. I'm gonna have her write a review as well. Tomorrow, it's my turn to see them in concert. Yay!! I promise to take lots of pictures.

Well, for updates, I posted all the pictures of the band and Kelly. The rest of the pictures will be posted soon. I tried out a Crosswinds account but the images just didn't always load up. You'd have to refresh the page 10 times to get all the images up. Since this would be quite a problem for image galleries, I'm just gonna put those pages up with the current host, Spaceports. I tried viewing my site on a different computer and the images loaded up pretty quickly, so maybe it's just my computer that's slow.

01.27.02
Just a little mini-update. The new host is a bit slow. Even with a LAN connection, it took a while to view the pictures. I'll try to get things sorted out as soon as possible.

Man, Starsailor and the Charlatans are really good. They're playing Boston tomorrow night. Unfortunately, I don't have the money (or time, but I could have made time) to see them.

01.27.02
I changed hosts again for the pictures. The other host didn't give me all the space that it promised, so now I'm on a new host with more space but with more advertisements. So please click on the sponsor ads everyone once in a while so I can keep this site up. I'm sorry if the banners are a bit of a distraction. I signed up for an account at another host, so maybe they'll be better. Once I get a job, I'll buy myself some ad-free webspace.

01.27.02
Hey everyone. I just posted the Euro tour dates and some band pictures. The pictures are on a different host server so if any funky stuff is going on, email me about it. I would have posted more pictures but somehow I went over my bandwidth. I thought something was wrong with the new server and spent forever trying to fix it. Well, everything's okay at the mo.

It's past 2 am right now. I suppose I shall go to bed.

Only 8 more days until my friends and I see Phonics in Boston. I'd put exclamation marks but that key is broken for some reason.

01.15.02
Agh god, I finished typing up the Phonics Q article from Nov '01. You know, I probably could have searched the web and copied and pasted it. I can't find the power cord for my old scanner, so I'm gonna have to use the new scanner which is a pain in the arse. I'll try scanning in some pics later today when I feel like it. I also might type up some other interesting articles and mini-features from the mag.

I can't wait to get back to a network connection at school.

01.13.02
Finally back on track, kinda. I've finished double-checking most of the lyrics (except for the songs I don't actually have) and have uploaded all of them. I think I have the lyrics to almost all of the songs done by Stereophonics, including non-album tracks and covers. If I'm missing any or if there's any incorrect lyrics, please
tell me about it.

My friend, Jules, gave me her copy of the November 2001 Q mag. featuring the Phonics. I'll be typing that up and scanning in pics a little later, so maybe I'll get that stuff uploaded tomorrow. I plan to complete the discography and videography next.

So, Phonics are in Japan today, I think, or was that yesterday? I don't feel like figuring out the time zone diff. They'll begin their US/North America tour on 01.21.02 in Los Angeles. (I cannot wait to see them in Boston!!) More tour info

Now I didn't ramble that much this time, did I, Mols?

Oh wait, one more thing. I got a surprise in the mail yesterday: two J.E.E.P promo stickers and a Mr Writer pen from the Stereophonics I-squad for being one of the members earning high points in December. You could get these prizes too if you join the squad by clicking on the banner below. It's really easy to get points, so join!!

12.30.01
Howdy y'all! I just went through most of the lyrics to revise them 'cause I didn't like how some verses or choruses or repeated lines were missing. I'm just really bored and trying to avoid interacting w/ my family. I love 'em but, after having a taste of freedom at college, they're just starting to get a bit annoying. Gosh, I'm just slacking off with this website, eh? After I get some things straightened out, I'll be sure to get back to some serious work. Oh, hehe, before I leave, some hilarious quotes from tonight's Simpsons episode:

"That's the last time you'll slap your Willie around!" - (Scottish) Groundskeeper Willie to Principal Skinner
"And now it's time to chew through my ball sack." - Principal Skinner to Nibbles the Hamster

oh god, I was laughing for at least 10 minutes at that "ball sack" line. I was in tears. If you have no idea what I'm talking about...well, you don't know what you're missing.

12.27.01
Hello everyone, all 3 or 4 of you who've come here!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and will have a great New Year's. Today's my bro's 21st birthday. I told him to go out and buy some drinks for me. "A guinness 'd be nice." He just laughed. Hehe, I really don't know when I'm gonna try my first drink, but it's gotta be special. I'm not gonna get pissed in some frat house surrounded by a bunch of feckin' jocks and snobs. Ok, enough of this talk. I posted up some more
lyrics. I haven't really had time to do much else. My niece (second cousin really, but it makes the relationship sound so distant) is here for her winter break, and I brought her to watch Harry Potter for her first time today. This was my second showing and I knew when the funny parts were coming so I was cracking up a good minute or so beforehand. I think people thought I was a weirdo. My niece and I also went a little crazy whenever Oliver Wood was on screen. Ahh, his accent...Scottish... Wicked!! It's cool that being from Massachusetts "wicked" is also frequently used in everyday speech. They say "wicked" in Maine, too. Not sure of any other states. Hehe, this one time...in science camp...oh gawd... Well, myself and the other delegate from MA were messing around to annoy everyone by overly using "wicked." Yeah, we got pretty bored on the 2 hr or so (each way) bus ride to and from this...place...(I can't say much 'cause it's supposed to be kept secret from future delegates). "Woah, those branches are wicked close. I'm wicked scared 'cause this road is wicked bumpy and wicked curvy and the bus driver is going wicked fast...etc." Well, since there were 1 or 2 delegates from each state and 4 from Germany, almost nobody understood what we were talking about, just us from MA and those from Maine. Good times, good laughs. (Ok, this update is turning into a frickin' journal entry. Sorry!)

OMG (one more thing) we stayed to read the credits for Harry Potter, and the name of the actor playing Oliver...is...SEAN BIGGERSTAFF!! Hehehaha, ah geez...'nuff said.

gruggle gruggle (hahaha, if you watched SNL, you'd know what I'm talking about. gosh, I can't stop laughing)

Ok, some real news...you guys probably know this already. Anyways... Stereophonics is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming movie I Am Sam, which will be released in Los Angeles and New York on 12.28.01 and everywhere else on 01.11.02. The soundtrack consists of covers of Beatles songs performed by the likes of Sheryl Crow, the Wallflowers, the Black Crowes, among others. Stereophonics perform "Don't Let Me Down" for the album. I read somewhere that during the time when 'phonics were in New York for Letterman, they were also filming the video for "Don't Let Me Down." That'd be incredible if the video can get some decent airplay here in the States. For more info about the movie and its soundtrack visit: www.iamsammovie.com

12.19.01
Yay! Finally got my computer hooked up. Been typing up lyrics. Got lazy so started copyin the J.E.E.P. lyrics from the official website. Damn site stopped loading for some reason. Stupid 56k connection. Stopped halfway. Ate too much. Feel sick. Gonna watch Simpsons. Play guitar a bit. Good bye for now.
