The Edhellond Research Section

Here you can find a collection of articles about various topics considering Tolkien's universe, written by the members of the Edhellond group. Some of them are strictly canon-based, others contain various amounts of guesswork and ideas from the side of the individual author. There will always be a summary that informs you which sort of article you will be reading.

The articles are posted in the chronological order of submission.

The Lexicon of Rohan by Soledad

1. The Religion of the Éothéod - mostly personal ideas, based on the religion of the pagan Anglo-Saxons, since Tolkien told us practically nothing about this topic. Article created based on the Angelcynn website's data (url in the Author's notes). Completed.

2. People - Tolkien's characters (both from LOTR and other writings), characters created for the Rohan roleplaying game (because they are excellent) and also my own fanfic characters. There is a clear difference in the listing, so you can see at once which is canon and which is not. Coming soon.

3. Places and Terms - all places of interest, considering not the Rohirrim only but also their forefathers, the Éothéod of the North. Terms are partially taken from Sir Walter Scott's excellent novel, ''Ivanhoe''. Coming soon.
