AQUARIUS

11^th sign of the zodiac

The eleventh sign of the zodiac is Aquarius. It is a fixed sign, masculine and the second sign of Winter. The Sun enters the sign of Aquarius on 20 or 21 January and leaves on 19 or 20 February, depending on the year.

Element: Air. Pure, cold air from the heart of the Winter. The air comes in waves like those in the sign of Aquarius, vibrating over the frozen earth

Metal: Lead

Gemstones: Sapphire and Black pearl

Flowers: Verbena, Laurel and Primula

Colour: Silver and grey shades and burgundy

Anatomical Associations: The legs, heels and nerves

It is hard to accept that the warm, kind-hearted Aquarian is also the same one that can be cold and distant, but this is the true person. Patience is required when living with an Aquarian, as they are very changeable in mood. Like Capricorns they are a difficult sign to define.

Aquarians need a career that drives them mentally and offers them a great deal of independance to express ideas and creativity. They are not suited to the normal office work or any job that ties them down with too many rules and regulations. They are well suited to charity and teaching work. Their main ambition is not for their own materialistic gain but for a chance of freedom.

They enjoy to be healthy but can find it a chore. They usually eat healthy by nature but find taking time to do exercises a waste. They normally exercise through their daily tasks, but must ensure they do not become too lazy.

Aquarians hate to be tied down in close emotional relationships, and can find it takes them years to commit to one person. They like to be loved, but find it hard to love themselves.
