Taurus, second sign of the zodiac, a fixed, feminine sign. It is the second sign of Spring, considing with the period of nature's reproduction. The Sun enters Taurus on 20 or 21 April and leaves on 20 or 21 May, depending on the year.

Element: Earth. The fertile element which harmonises with the other elements.

Taureans like their life to be organised and steady, and function best in a stable environment. Tthey are full of common sense and make very good listeners. Taureans are loyal, warm hearted people, who provide the shoulder to cry on and come up with sensible advice. They do have the fault of being far too possessive and become jealous easily. Taureans are known for their stubborn traits.

Taureans love material possessions and because of this have to aim high for a good salary. They are prepared to work hard for their rewards; careers in finance and banking are well suited. Taureans also have a strong affinity with nature and outdoors work seems to appeal.

Taureans can become pretty lazy due to their love of comfort and love of food. They do enjoy exercise, as long as it is not strenuous. Taureans like to be in good health.

Comfort is the major word in a Taureans relationship. They make warm, loving partners, as long as they feel loved and secure in return. Long-term relationships allow the Taurean to become emotionally stable, although their possessiveness can become too much. Taurus is governed by Venus, so love is a very important attribute to their life. They make great, loving parents who provide safe surroundings for their children. They must learn to spend more time with their family and devote a little less to being the bread-winner.
