Spellcraft

Spells often work better when you write them yourself; as they are more personal and particular to the task. Below I have provided you with some pointers on how to create a good spell. Remember the threefold rule, spells for personal greed or harm to others will have their consequences!

1. Keep it to the point; don't try to put all your knowledge of everything in at once

2. Candles are effective for energy; use different colours according to the spell: brown - for animal magick, purple - for stengthening personal powers. Decide upon the colours which you feel are right, or check out the colour section of this site.

3. Gems can help focus and hold power; especially in healing rituals (see Gems)

4. Herbs are also good for healing (see Herbs)

5. Decide upon when to cast your spell carefully; how will the day effect the power? Most importantly check the moon cycles (see Moon, Sun and Days)

6. If at all possible, let the spell rhyme. It gives good results, all the time. (Bad rhyme there!!)

7. If envoking a Deity, always give thanks!

8. Try to involve all the elements in your ritual

9. Higher energy can be used if a circle is cast - but remember to open it afterwards

10. Try to visualise the end result whilst casting the spell

Safe casting!
