Mujahideen Repulse Major Offensives in Kunduz and Maidan Shahr |
Kabul - Fierce fighting continues in Kunduz, where
the Mujahideen have repulsed the second of three-pronged
offensive launched by the Northern Alliance on Thursday.
The Alliance has taken heavy casualties and has retreated,
meeting stiff resistance from the defenders of Kunduz, who
have vowed to fight to the last drop of blood. Amongst the
troops facing the Alliance in Kunduz are several thousand
Foreign Mujahideen, from countries as diverse as the Arab
World, Pakistan, China, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Bosnia and Indonesia,
further underscoring the point that this is a war of Islam
against Kufr. Heavy US bombing, including use of some chemical
weapons, has failed to make a difference. The Northern Alliance
has been trying to cover up their defeats with claims of
surrender talks, but, in truth, they are making no progress
in entering the city and have suffered heavy casualties.
The morale of the Mujahideen in Kunduz is said to be extremely
high and there is no panic, disorder or confusion in their
ranks. They are prepared to fight until victory or martyrdom.
Near Maidan Shahr, 20km South West of Kabul, approximately
1000 Afghan and Foreign Mujahideen counter-attacked a major
Northern Alliance offensive that was launched on Thursday,
killing scores of them. Alliance troops fled in panic and
disorder after this counter-attack from Mujahideen fighters
dug in in the mountains.
These incidents are proving that the war is far from over
and emphasise the point that the Taliban and the Mujahideen
have the upper hand and experience in mountain and guerilla
warfare. Those who thought that the Taliban were finished
and the war is over are left finding answers to these recent
setbacks to the Northern Alliance. Perhaps some duas of
some Muslims in the month of Ramadan are being answered?
Meanwhile, anarchy continues in Afghanistan with three more
foreign journalists killed near Jalalabad, bringing the
total number of foreign journalists killed this week, to
10. UN offices have also been looted in Mazar-i-Sharif,
Jalalabad and Kabul. It was exactly these state of affairs
that led to the emergence of the Taliban in the first place,
in 1994. 25 fighters of the American-backed Hamid Karzai
were killed by Taliban troops in an attempted capture of
Helmand province. Large quantities of both Russian and American
weapons were captured by the Taliban during this encounter.
American bombing continued in Kunduz, Kandahar and Jalalabad,
killing over 50 civilians, bringing the total number of
civilians killed since the bombing began on 7th October
2001, to pass the 2500 mark. This figure is increasing at
the average rate of 200 civilians per week. On the contrary,
the civilian death toll of the World Trade Center attacks
has been decreased to less than 3900, after errors were
discovered. The figure continues to decrease. Once the Afghan
civilian death toll exceeds that of the World Trade Center,
will Muslims around the World continue to go out of their
way to condemn the 11 September attacks more than they condemn
the bombing of Afghanistan.
Elsewhere, further showing the betrayal of Western Muslims
to their Mujahideen in Afghanistan, a survey amongst British
Muslims showed that two thirds believed those British Muslims
who fought to defend Afghanistan against American bombing
should be tried for treason when they return. A stance like
this is not surprising coming from Western communities of
Muslims that have done little for Islam and the Muslims
in the arenas of Jihad around the World. British Muslim
organisations were even hesitant to support the Jihad in
Bosnia so it is expected that in this war against Islam,
they will side with the West against their fellow Muslims.
Are they not afraid of the Day when Allah will try them
for treason for abandoning their Muslim brothers and siding
with the West against Islam?
Lastly, to prove the lies created by the Western Media,
British newspapers have been reporting Field Commander Khattab
as leading the Mujahideen forces in Kunduz. Field Commander
Khattab, who has not left Chechnya since 1995, except to
attack Russian forces in Dagestan in 1997 and 1999, remains
in Chechnya, engaged in the Jihad there. Furthermore, it
begs the question? How did he travel from Chechnya to Kunduz
in the first place? Was he supposed to have been teleported
in a high-tech machine costing $500million, paid by Usama
bin Ladin, of course? Perhaps British newspapers, upon whom
many Muslims rely for 'authentic' news know the answers
to that.
