Variants List

Over the past few years I have collected a number of variants for many of the more popular (and occasionally obscure!) games. These appear here as a monument to my fellow gamers who share my overwhelming urge to fiddle... any other contributions are welcome!

• 1969 North Sea Oil (http://www.virtual-cafe.com/~tdewey/1969_Rules.html): has been developed by Trevor Dewey (is a variant of, and requires requires ownership of, 1856)
• Dune Expansion: a set of unofficial rules and expansions for the board game DUNE - published by Avalon Hill and Jeux Descartes (by Richard and Eddy Vickery).
• EMPIRES: a RISK variant (with a 'Civilisation' flavour)
• An expanded set of rules for HeroQuest
• Lairs of the Sorceror: an expansion set for The Sorcerer's Cave
• $-Free Supremacy: a Supremacy variant
• Revenge of the Awful Green Things from Outer Space
• A whole bunch of RISK variants
• Siedler Variants: variants for the popular Siedler von Catan (aka "The Settlers of Catan")
• Tikal on Speed: a variant to speed up play through semi-simultaneous choices of actions
• New New Games in Old Rome : additional rules using the same set of playing pieces in New Games in Old Rome
