By Geg Let us travel waaaaay back to before the guestbook started. To the time of www.ff8sucks.8k.com. That site had a Bravenet guestbook which Arthur and I would sign at a lot. It wasn't until later that Ace came around. Anyway, I decided to have a guestbook of my own on a crappy little FF site that I had. Unlike today, back then we had a lot of people coming to the Guestbook. Me, Arthur, Dagger, MuchAdoredSelphie, Rinoa Heartilly, Atalanta, just to name a few. Anyway, one day I posted this secret message thing in the GB. Dagger figured it out and told us how to read it. Then, she wrote this little thing about me and Arthur trying to kill her for revealing that secret. After she wrote that, Arthur just continued where she left off, and it turned into a full-fledged story. Keep in mind that we didn't have a set plot in this one like we did in all the other ones. That's why the plot is all over the place with people randomly being good or evil and turning into Sephiroth and stuff. In the words of Matt Groening when he spoke of the first season of the Simpsons: "We didn't know what the hell we were doing back then." Anyway, I wrote the second part by myself, but the members of the GB could vote as to who would die in the next part. Then Ace and Reno came. At that same time, Dagger had lost interest and had stopped coming. Then we did the 3rd one. When we started on the 4th one, Dagger came back and did one last part. Also, after doing 2 parts for the 4th story, Reno lost interest and left. It was down to me, Ace, and Arthur. When we did the 5th one, Golbez tried to join, but somehow got confused... He wrote about 3 or 4 lines. But he's still listed as a writer, as, techinally, he DID write... Anyway, hopefully there will be many more GB Stories. That's it I guess. |
