The Shire of Gryphon's Lair is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a nonprofit, educational organization which studies and recreates the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The Shire is in the stunning Kingdom of Artemisia. The Shire territory includes Weber and Davis counties, Utah. Our gatherings are called Events and can include Court as well as Combat and Non-combat related activities. Activities include Armored Combat and Rapier Combat, Archery, Equestrian Arts and Hound Coursing, Costuming, Heraldry, Calligraphy, Illumination, Period Entertainment, Cooking and Brewing, to mention just a few.

Populace Meeting is the last THURSDAY of the month, unless otherwise announced.

Fighter practice is now on THURSDAY evening from 6:30-10pm.
Located at the First Presbyterian Church at: 880 E 28th St, Ogden.

Archery practice will be held every Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-until too dark to see the butts.
Location is Mount Ogden Archery Range, Morgan, Utah. See the Fighter Practice page for more information.

• 02.21.08 Added a down and dirty page to use as the High Seas Quest 2008 announcement to the site and added a link to the quick links to the left. Will spruce things up as time allows.
• 01.07.08 Twelfth Night is over and we successfully assisted Thorvald and Bianca in stepping down and getting Math the Fish and Daria to step up. The changes will come to the website as I get the info and am able to get it up here.
• 12.07.07 Updated some aspects of website. Officer pages have been cleaned up. Need all officers to contact webminister ASAP and fill out Permission to Publish waiver and make arrangements to get that signed form to the webminister.
