Kagome is said to be the re-incarnation of the deceased Priestess, Kikyo, which is explained in the story section. She was the one who removed the arrow from Inu-Yasha's chest, breaking the spell and freeing Inu-Yasha. She also had the Shikon Jewel in her body, which came out and started one big mess. Kagome takes her education as her most important thing is life, even when she misses most of school to help Inu-Yasha. She knows how to think and keep her head clear in a dangerous situation, which makes her a very good fighter. When she's not in ancient Japan, she's at home studying for a test or at school. She seems like the only one in the group who truly cares about her education, and she's trying to get into a good high school. She has so many absences though, so it might not even matter ^^;;
