MOMENT OF CLARITY

In my moment of clarity
I saw myself staring back at me
Twas’ my first opportunity to truly see
The person that I never wanted to be
Now, honest self appraisal does not come naturally
But when faced with such a grave reality
Could it be a question of mere morality?
Or just a lack of sober mentality?
In the latter I have found truth to the greatest degree!
And today I can give you only one guarantee
That when one becomes not what they want to be
Seize the opportunity
Given souly by your own decree
Do not live life as a detainee
Use thought, word, and deed to create your own reality
