My 1971 TOYOTA KE20

Still working on the site...Well I gotta work on the car too. DAMN; decisions, decisions...

The project started long ago (Spring of 1998) when I bought the car from this European guy from Hollywood; the car was hit pretty bad on the driver's side fender and door.  The car originally had a 4x110 lug pattern, but I changed it because of:

1.  TE rear ends are better (bigger), can take on more power.

2.  Bigger front brake disks on other Corollas (I'm looking into the AE86 Corolla brakes...waiting for $$ and Pick Your Part to go 1/2 price days).

3.  The rims are dope, but they're 4x114. Actually I got the rims for 5 bucks each @ pick your parts in Wilmington, CA...

4.  SR5 (4x114) rear ends can take an LSD from the AE86 w/stock LSD...Gotta find one first.

What it got: Engine and Tranny from an 81 Starlet KP61 (4K-C and 5 speed), Starlet brake booster, Weber carburetor 32/36 DGV, "eBay special" headers, TE-21 rear end (brakes and all), TE51 front brakes and strut housing, Select Sales front springs, KYB front shocks and rear struts, front Energy Suspension components, 13x6 Enkei rims, Nitto tires 195/60-13, and homemade roll bar.

Redid the interior; carpeting and headliner. Roll bar padding, re-chromed the front and rear bumpers, painted the car Dove Gray, re-wired the whole car with the Starlet wiring harness, got all new rubber parts except the front windshield and trunk rubbers.  What else...

10.01.2002: Arnel found some brackets for me at the JYard near his house.  THANKS ARNEL! Installed the brake booster/brake lines, clutch master/slave cylinder, painted & polished the valve cover, hand polished the intake manifold runners...

What I needed was an external fuel pump to suck the gas out of the stock fuel tank, finding one can be expensive...after searching the internet, I found out that the MA67 Supra's (1982-83 I think) came external. So, off to the JYs again. [most JYs cut their fuel tanks off for fear of fires w/the gas inside, but throw their pumps back in the trunks of the cars] The pump is under the passenger side rear axle, real simple pump that should handle the 2TG EFI setup. Cheap and Effective ($11.99 each. You might wanna test it to make sure it works tho)

9.09.2002: Dropped in the 2TG in the KE, but the motor mount brackets don't fit! Doh...Everything is already changed to make it a TE21 now...X member changed, rear end, front struts, brake booster, clutch master cylinder, drive shaft & tranny...But the stupid brackets are too big...Oh well, I just asked Club4AG for help/parts, hopefully I'll get an answer soon.

07.08.2002: Holly Shit Batman!  I just got hold of a 2T-GEU. Crap...We're looking at a 2TG efi setup w/Haltech ECU...Ahhhhhh...(Got it from ART @ Cabe Bros. Toyota, THANKS BRO!...Along w/tranny, x-member, brake booster, clutch & brake pedals, 4AG Computer...What else? Can't remember)

05.01.2002: Just got a new dash from CABE BROTHERS TOYOTA! Shit, can't believe it...They still have 'em. Was told the dealer got some from the parts department in Ontario, CA. Art (from the dealer), kept one, sold one to some guy in Puerto Rico, I bought one...Hmmm

Well, I have a shit load of parts leftover...Some for sale, and others are stuff I wanna use in the future...Hopefully if my fiancé allows me to get another Corolla? My dream is to find a good 1973-1974 TE27 Corolla SR-5...One could only wish.  That'll come after we're married next year, June 2003.

• SOLD Cracked AE86 4AG Headers (weldable). 

• front eyebrows (think)... Ahhh, can't remember the rest.

• SOLD 2 AE86 Computers + Harness for 4AG no AFM. 

• 4K EFI intake and exhaust manifolds (injectors, throttle body and all)

• 4K TRANNY SOLD As soon as I get the 2TG in, I'll have the 4K motor and everything that came with it.
