Patrick Bateman, a man without a conscience as he says. This film was so good, I loved it. The things Bateman says are things that the world wished they had the balls to say. God bless the 80's, take for instance when he is at a bar and a woman turns down his card.
"Sorry we only accept cash." Bartender Girl turns around and begins to fill drink.
"You are a fucking ugly bitch! I am going to stab you to death, and then play around with your blood!"
GOD BLESS THOSE WORDS! This guy kills people for the sake of killing people, he killed one guy because he had a better BUSINESS CARD then him! And the one-liners he says would make Bruce Campbell proud! Here is the terrific story...
Patrick Bateman is a successful business man on Wall Street, his is one of those 80's Yuppies that lives for his image. What people think about him is number 1, only eats at the best restruants, most expensive clothes, and spares no expense on his skin. But among all of this, Patrick Bateman may look real, seem real, and may seem like he has a actual soul, but deep inside, he just isn't there. When Paul Allen, a man who is one step ahead of Bateman, (hell, he doesn't even know Bateman is Bateman, he calls him Marcus) turns up with a better business card then he, ol' Pat decides to remove the card loving freak. He gets him drunk, brings him back to his apartment, where he has plastic everywhere and newpaper under the chair. He then begins to play Hewy Luis and the News, then puts a rain coat on, while telling Paul all about Hewy and the band. He ends with these words...
"HEY PAUL!!!"
And cuts the little bitch to pieces. Then packs his bags and makes Paul simply "DISAPPEAR". This is where William Defoe comes in, he is a detective who is investigating the disappearance. This guy is the absolute man! The phrases he throws out are all classic one-liners like, Don't just stare at it, Eat it!/ I have to return some video tapes! and alot more.
So here is what I say, go out and rent this film, you wont be let down and you can now know what to say when the cleaning lady pisses you off. :-D
