The Calling (2000)
Sorry about the pic, this was the only picture I can find of it. This film, I thought would be nothing but a waste of money, but I was dead wrong. This film was awesome, kept me hooked into it till the very end. Let's get to the story
Ok, I can't remember any of the names, but we shall try to do our best. THe mother is telling the whole story, she is in a hospital bed talking with a priest. Now, she begins telling him about how on her wedding night, she has sex in the graveyard and concieves her child. (Kinkyyyy) Now when the child is born, her cousin's, I think it was, child is killed, cause of death unknown.When the mother's child is born, he is anything but normal. He actually kills a pet hampster and tries to hang the family dog. He is a evil little shit that I would like to smack in the face if it wasn't against the law! If you have ever seen the omen, it is the same basic story line. The father and the boy are both in on this... I can't really discuss more of the film without giving anything important away.
So there you have it folks, this is one kick ass british film. I really enjoyed it. It had me glued for the (how ever long it was) from beginning to end. This is one film, that SHOULDN"T BE MISSED
I say, run out to your local store right now and rent The Calling now! This is a film that shouldn't be missed by any fan of horror movies. As long as you can withstand british accents, you will love this movie. Unless you didn't like the Omen then you have nothing for yeah. But all us other people, we will like it.
