My Rating:

Yet another film that begins with C!!! What is up with this anyway? We are going to be over run by C's ACK! Anyway....here is Comic Book Villains, a film asking the question, how desperate are these people??? For all of you people who thought that just because you knew every origin of all the Marvel Comics characters instead of knowing what 21-9(1-9)2=3 meant.....HERE IS A MOVIE FOR YOU! Get ready because these people will stop at nothing to get a collection of comics that are worth a fortune! Here is the story...

Raymond McGillicuddy is a comics book seller, he collects and his life is comics. he sleeps, eat, breaths, and pisses comic books.  On the flip side, Norman Link also runs a comic book store but he doesn't care about them, he just cares about the money. When they both find out about a rare collection of old comic books, that are worth millions to the right dealer, they go out of there way to get it. Only one problem, the elderly woman wont sell her late son's collection. So it ends up becoming a free for all with friend turning against friend, enemies joining forces, and out of all of this, one friend makes a friend.... As the film goes on, things only get worse for the cast of characters, and it's all over the funny pages!

The movie is mainly about these 5 characters, shows what happens when all that matters to you is money. People get hurt, friendships get destroyed, and an elderly woman gets bugged to death!!! The entire cast did a great job playing there roles, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, liked how it handled itself.

The directing is interesting, I liked how it kept on cutting back to comic books and everything. I found it interesting watching these characters take themselves from there, what seemed to be, happy existences, and throw them all away for comics. It was a entertaining flick that I think should have gone to the theatres, instead of putting Just Married in the theatres, they should have put this film in it.

No gore and no nudity Al was very angry with the fact that they have a nudey bar and no nudity.... the film wasn't about that anyway. It was funny in some parts but really, it wasn't a HA HA comedy, I didn't find my self laughing non stop at any of the scenes. But I don't think it was meant to be a hard core comedy.

The DVD itself was kind of lame, this proved my point about with the sound. The 5.1 sound wasn't even that loud, I had my speakers turned up and it wasn't anything spectacular. The picture was decent, nothing special, and the features...WHAT FEATURES?!?! A trailer thats it....I am sick of the Vulgar trailer on these DVD's LOL!

I say, this film is a definetly worth a watch, if you see it in the stores, check it out. Don't pass it up for it is a good film. But don't be expecting it to be a slapstick comedy or anything like that. Jack Torrance fell asleep during it though....he said that he finds any movies about comics to be more boring then his ex's rotting corpse.
