Now, if Gus's butchering, I mean "remake" of Hitchcock's PSYCHO, wasn't enough to make Hitchcock turn over in his grave, then Michael Bay may have actually accomplished that. Michael Bay is basically going to remake every horror movie out there, as long as there are people directing music videos for MTV, there will be remakes of movies produced by the THE ROCK director himself. Personally it makes me sick to think that this movie is being remade but then again, who the fuck am I right?  Universal Pictures is teaming up with Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes company to remake this movie and no it will not be a shot for shot remake like the previous Hitchcock remake. My problem is this, why is anyone going to want to see a bunch of CGI flying birds attacking some dumb bitch with flashy MTV style directing? Nobody will and the reason this movie worked originally was because of Hitchcock, but I am sure it will come in at number one and get a shitload of idiots to agree this remake is superior. Cause we all know that modern horror beats the hell out of the old horror. Urg...sometimes I wonder why I even bother being a reviewer!

The Devil's Rejects REJECTS A Reject But Gets An Official Teaser Poster, and Bay Remakes Away! 

Ok folks, bad news for you Dr. Satan fans out there, the one character that never really got explained in House of 1000 corpses was in fact Dr. Satan. Around Boston, he went by the name "Who or what the fuck is that!?" and when I heard he was in this sequel, I was excited to find out what he was all about. Well...hopefully they will have an actual director's cut or a dvd containing deleted scenes for we got screwed out of it. Dr. Satan's scene has been sliced out of the movie and is now on the cutting room floor. It didn't go with the rest of the movie says Zombie so our only hope is that Lions Gate pulls through...time shall tell. To your left you shall see a picture of Dr. Satan going out with a fight...

If  you put your mouse over the picture you shall then be able to see the new official TEASER poster for the movie. It pretty much is the same as the one I previously showed only this time it is more 70's. Can't say I reallllly am digging it but it is only a teaser. 

Now, Michael Bay is known for a lot of things, directing The Rock and Armageddon, but among the horror world he is a name that true horror fans have come to hate and despise. Why you may ask? Well the fact that he is the leading reason our classic horror films are being butchered and remade is probably a good inkling as to why. First he fucked up Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then he got Amityville Horror to be equally as fucked and now he is going to the next level and taking a CLASSIC and a film that is without a doubt a one of a kind, yes I am talking a bout a little film named "The Hitcher" Bay has made it offical that Fox is going to be remaking this classic and word is...a female lead as opposed to the male lead that the original had. Why they don't just name it something else is beyond me. If they are going to that distance to make it different, why the fuck do they need to make it be a remake? Because they need MONEY...Bay needs to get it through his head that horror fans don't like having their favorite films get remade into MTV style flashy films starring talentless hacks from the WB...if he ever comes to a horror convention...he will need more body guards then Michael Moore does when he visits the Republican National Convention. Thing is, who the fuck can they get to replace Rutger as the Hitcher!? NOBODY! This is complete and utter bullshit, it won't work in this society if they modernize it and it needs to be left ALONE. But who the fuck am I? My words mean nothing...if you feel like bitching about this...come post in the forum!

Yes that is right, for those who can't bare to wait any longer to get a glimpse at the highly anticapted horror film that the critics are raving about, here is some clips from the movie to hopefully subdue you at least untill the 19th when it hits DVD. 

Clip 1, Clip 2, Clip 3, Clip 4, Behind the Scenes Clip, Teaser Trailer, and the new TV Spot for the DVD that is going to be out there scaring your television sets! Make sure you people buy this movie on April 19th, take my word for it, it is worth every penny. The movie alone is worth it but what makes this even better is the DVD being PACKED with features and a kick ass commentary. No horror fan should be without MALEVOLENCE. 

The other day, IMDB.com reported that George Lutz has bashed the latest remake to hell and back after producers refused to call on his services as a consultant. George Lutz was the victim of the real-life horror tale about the possessed New York state home, and turned his terrible tale into a cult book, on which the original 1979 film was based. But Mr. Lutz is anything but impressed or scared by this remake claiming the director ignored his offers of help and, as a result, has made a purely fictional film. 

Lutz tells movie website Moviehole.Net, "I was excluded from any participation that might have allowed for accurate depictions in this film. There is a craft to acting... Some actors are more serious about their art. They take time to research a part. In the case of retelling an actual event, they look into the history and research the people involved. That just didn't happen here. Based on what I've read from his interviews, this kid Scott Kasar thinks his script is the true story because that's what he's been told. He's quite happy to look no further than that. A tremendous disservice has been orchestrated here. The filmmakers have fabricated many incredibly inaccurate statements made during promotion interviews and press packs. These serve to misinform with a drivel that is pure sophistry. I am appalled at the lack of personal integrity in the name of hype and promotion. This (film) is supposed to be about my family and the 28 days we lived in the house, instead it is something formed in the minds of others not concerned with anything more than box office numbers and self import."

Amityville Horror was originally released in 1979 and starred James Brolin, Margot Kidder and the late Rod Steiger and was successed by 7 sequels including Amityville 1992: It's about time and Amityville: Dollhouse...need I say more with a title like that. The remake hits theatres this friday and it is being scribed by the same person who massacred the  Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake so...we shall see how he fairs with this installment. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Melissa George, Jesse James and Jimmy Bennet. 

Now first I want to make this very clear....I AM NOT A STAR WARS FAN! Ok, I hated Phantom Menace, and while Clone Wars was better then it's predecessor, it still sucked ass. I couldn't give two shits about this movie and you won't find me sitting outside wearing a Darth Vader mask and holding a Hasbro lightsaber when this movie opens. BUT I felt it was interesting to see that the movie was rated PG-13 for all the other installments are rated PG. Lucas has been going on and on and on about how much darker this one is and how much more violent this one is. Whether or not that holds any clout as far as making this one not suck will be determined soon enough. It is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and some intense images." The film is set for release on Thursday, May 19.

Mena's Malevolence Next Move, Get a Better Look At The Devil's Rejects, Riding The Bullet Release Date Fiasco, and Bubba is Back! 

It is pretty offical, Malevolence was a hit with horror fans in theatres as well as beloved by horror critics everywhere. With the DVD blazing it's way into stores on April 19th everywhere, it leaves many a fan wondering what is next? Well I asked the man himself about it and he filled me in. 

    "Busy as hell, working on both scripts, getting things moving quick. I am currently working on the prequel" 

    Which is great news for all of us who have been able to experience the great Malevolence. The movie was originally one giant script but it was WAY to big and way to out of budget to film it all so Mena chose the middle of it. Next will come the prequel and then the sequel so expect Malevolence 2 and Malevolence 3 to be made and to come your way. For those of you who saw the edited version on TBS or USA like I did, then you already know how good of a movie Stephen King's RIDING THE BULLET is! So when does it come out without everything cut out on DVD you may be asking? Well, there has been a bunch of confusion around this and I got word from the great people over at Lions Gate themselves to clear this confusion up. Riding the Bullet was said to come out on the 5th, which was last Tuesday but turns out, that is not right. Turns out that it isn't being released until April 19th which kind of stinks for those who rode in there hooptie, taking lives as they saw fit, to get to the store to pick up this movie. Now, the question on everyone's mind has been, Bubba Nosferateau...that little coming soon teaser at the end of the original and now classic BUBBA HO TEP...will it happen? Well, the King himself was in Boston promoting a movie and did a Q&A and he of course was asked the status on this, here is what he had to say. The head honchos over at Aint It Cool News got to talk with him and this is a summary of what was said "Bubba Nosferatulives! He said there are currently two production houses interested in footing the bill, so he and Don Coscarelli are "waiting to see how many zeroes we can squeeze out of them." The King will return!" Amityville Horror Haunts Theatres On April 15th!
It is that time of the year again, the studios are done releasing what they consider their "duds" and are now releasing the big name movies. With April approaching, snow is leaving (thank god) and Amityville Horror is coming our way full force via MGM. Now I know there are some out there who have never seen the original (for shame) so for those beanbags here is the summary.

Ring 2 First Look Clips!

Ok I just got some clips from the new movie, RING 2 which opens nationwide on March 18th. The sequel to the surprise blockbuster is finally here and it is back in full force with Naomi Watts reprising her role as well as  David Dorfman in this remake of the asian movie "Ring 2" and "Ring 0", "The story picks up six months after the horrifying events that terrorized Rachel Keller and her son Aidan in Seattle . To escape her haunting memories, Rachel takes Aidan and moves to the small coastal community of Astoria , Oregon , to start fresh. However, Rachel's resolve quickly turns to dread when evidence at a local crime scene-including an unmarked videotape-seems eerily familiar. Sad Day In Horror...

Just got some horrible news today folks, the great Debra Hill, who co-produced and co-wrote what is arguably the single greatest horror movie of all time, Halloween alongside John Carpenter...has died of cancer on March 7th 2005 at the age of 54. Halloween would become a sleeper hit and a classic among the horror genre spawning 7 sequels and now a 8th sequel is in the works.  She was a brilliant writer and producer working a lot with Carpenter with films such as Escape from New York, The Fog, The Dead Zone, Clue, and Gross Anatomy plus many more. She will be truly missed by all of her fans and will be remembered among the horror community as one of the pioneers who helped bring us some of the greatest horror films of all time.

Cancer seems to be taking all the great people out in the world, and everyone close to us all. I lost my aunt and step mother to cancer and I am sure someone in your families has died as well from it. You would think with so many people dying from this fucking curse that they would be able to figure out a cure. Maybe some of the big politicans out there should spend less time blowing up places and spend more time and money on a cure for Cancer. Anyway, Debra Hill is the latest one to lose a 14 month battle with cancer...such a tragedy but she will not be forgotten.  

RIP Debra Hill you will forever be missed...

The Rejects Are Moving On Up, and Malevolence DVD SPECS!

Just got some good news from Lions Gate Films, the highly anticipated sequel to House of 1000 Corpses has been moved up. I don't know about you guys, but the thought of being able to see this a month earlier makes my horror senses tingle!  Here is what they had to say 

"We are moving the release date of "The Devil's Rejects" to July 22nd to more firmly plant it in this lucrative summer play period," stated Steve Rothenberg, President of Distribution, Lions Gate Films. 

    This is great news for us all! I, for one, can't wait for this sequel and after grooving to the 5 minute clip I saw, my expectations are through the roof! So what does Rob think about all of this? 

    "I am thrilled with Lion's Gate's decision to push The Devil's Rejects up from August to July. After our explosive test screening and the overwhelming response from the fans I have been dying to get this out there. This is going to be one very psychotic July!"

    I can't wait, the movie has an all star cast of horror icons from Kane Hodder, and Ken Foree, to P.J. Soles and Michael Berryman to returning cast members Sid Haig and Bill Moseley, the movie has it all. The reviews that came in for it were astounding from what I had heard and this can only mean one thing, The Devil's Rejects will be one of the must see horror films of 2005! Be sure to check it out upon it's release in July! 

Winner of 2004's best horror movie of the year award, the bone chilling independent movie MALEVOLENCE is now on it's way to DVD for all to bare witness to. This is director/writer/editor Stevan Mena's directorial debut and it is one hell of a debut at that. House of Wax Poster, IFilm Slips Us Into THE JACKET, 2 new DVD's coming your way from TARTAN, Jigsaw Comes Your Way...

Ever since I heard the description to this remake, I have been against it. My hatred grew when I found out that Paris Hilton was going to be acting in this which either meant there would be sex left and right or I would have to put up with her attempting to act. But now I have to say...the poster looks pretty fucking bad ass. I love this poster...I can't believe it. It reminds me of the old fashion posters from the 80's when posters for movies could actually have cool covers and wasn't just the 5 main actors standing in a row. I wasn't a big fan of the original Vincent Price version but I will have to watch it again. I DO know the plots are completely different. This one sound sounds like it is all flash and cheap scares. So what else is new?

I don't know about you, but ever since I saw the claustrophobia inducing trailer for THE JACKET starring Adrian Paul and Keira Knightly, it has been on the top of my list for new films to see. It looks like it is going to be one hell of a creepy mind fucking horror film. So what does IFilm have to do with this you may be asking? Also, the second film being released is "A Snake Of June" which has a interesting premise behind it. Here is the summary "A mysterious phone call accompanies the envelope, but the male voice does not demand money.  Instead, it asks Rinko to put on a very short mini skirt and purchase a vibrator then, guides him through the rainy city to act out her fantasies…" Both DVD's are being released on February 22nd. Be sure to pick up your copy ASAP.

The Power of BULLSHIT Shall Compell You!!! 

I heard about this remake being made into a 4-part mini-series but hadn't heard anything more on it for a while. Over the weekend, a myraid of people began reporting about the remake happening. I checked sites like Creature Corner, Bloody Disgusting and even FANGORIA magazine so I was like you got to be fucking kidding me!!! Then I read on....Saw that Dakota Fanning was filling Linda Blair's spot and possibly...Gary Oldman...wow...but then I read who supposedly had wrote the script, Mr. Jim (Anaconda) Cash. I was like hey, what happened to him after he wrote Anaconda so I went onto IMDB. Now, man wrote TOP GUN, DICK TRACY and ANACONDA...but here is the thing...Jimbo  has been dead for the past 5 years! So...either he rose from the grave, wrote an entire script, all in an attempt to fuck over hardcore horror fans...or this whole story is bullshit. So someone is having themselves a hardy laugh and now we can rest easy knowing that EXORCIST is not being remade...at least not now anyway. 

SAW Saws Its Way Onto DVD, The Manson Family Coming To DVD, and Franklin Has Passed On

For those of you out there who went and saw SAW in the theatres, you were treated with a highly entertaining horror film that has one fuck of a kick ass ending! Well our wait to own this gritty tale is now coming to an end for SAW is buzzing it's way onto DVD  on February 15th. Not only is this movie sporting a really slick cover, but also is coming with some nice features. We get a commentary with director James Wan and writer/actor Leigh Whannell, "Sawed Off" Mini-featurette, "Bite The Hand That Bleeds" Music Video, Making of said music video, and Trailers and Tv spots. My only question is where the unrated version is...even with it being rated though...this is one movie that is worth the cashola. So break open those limited edition Freddy Vs. Jason piggy banks and run down on next Tuesday and pick up Saw! 

One of the most legendary underground films of recent years, director Jim Van Bebber¹s brutal and unflinching The Manson Family will be released on DVD in the Unrated Theatrical and Director¹s Cut versions on April 26, 2005.  Fifteen years in the making, The Manson Family is a self-financed labor of love for Van Bebber, who became a cult favorite in the 1980s with his feature film "Deadbeat at Dawn" and with his short films and music videos for such bands as Skinny Puppy.  Long on hallucinogenic, graphic violence and sex, the film destroys some of the myths that surround the Manson Family, openly explores the group¹s lifestyle prior to the shocking Tate-LaBianca murders of August 9 and 10, 1969, and places the Manson mythology in historical context.  "It probably represents the first time the whole Manson phenomenon has ever been explained in a way that really makes some sense," wrote Mick LaSalle in the San Francisco Chronicle. I have yet to see it but I can't wait...finally this is one movie based on a serial killer that DOESN'T sound like complete and utter garbage. Be sure to check it out folks!

Now, finally, I just found out why I hadn't seen Paul A. Partain online recently...it was because of the fact he was fighting a losing battle with cancer...I am sad to say that Mr. Partain, the man who played Franklin, the handicapped brother in Tobe Hoopers 1973 horror classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, has died earlier this month. I was actually scheduled to interview him a while back but due to scheduling conflicts it ended up not happening but I was able to talk with him. Paul was a very caring and kind man who appreciated all the fans loyal support. He was 58 years old and will be missed by all the millions of TCM fans out there. RIP Paul.... 

For those of us who have been dying to see the new sequel to "House of 1,000 Corpses", well you can get your first glimpse of the highly anticapated sequel for a teaser trailer is online! After watching it, listening to the Q&A with the stars and talking to them as well, this film is going to kick ass beyond belief. Whether you liked the first or not, this is a sequel everyone needs to check out! There website also has been made but with a message from Rob Zombie himself, this isn't your average run of the mill "Let's hype the movie" website which I personally really am liking. I only liked the first one the first time I saw it but then with each time I saw it after word it grew on me to become one hell of an entertaining movie. I saw SAW opening weekend and while I loved the movie (review here) I can't help but be like what the fuck upon hearing of a sequel! I mean is this what happens every time a movie is...do I really need to finish that sentence? No! I don't! Seriously, SAW to me is a movie that is great by itself...IT DOES NOT NEED A SEQUEL to add to it or a trilogy, or a mini series or anything! IT IS GOOD ON ITS OWN!!! AHHHHH!!! But anyway, Lions Gate Films has announced that a sequel will made and not just will it be made, but start filming the first of January so it can be released October '05! Oh yeah it gets better, original writer and star Leigh Whannell and director James Wan will be neither for this project, (Always a good sign) but they WILL be executive producing it and that is where there involvement ends. Twisted Pictures says they are happy they have been entrusted with this franchise "Great it's a franchise now!?" and will not screw it up...let's hope this stays true. Only time will tell if SAW 2 can scare up the same kind of terror that the original is doing right now. I think they should LEAVE IT ALONE!!! But who the fuck am I right? Just a reviewer who has seen one to many GOOD horror films get shitty sequels so that the companies can push them out and make money. ::sigh:: Why do I even bother?

Presidential election got you down? Wanted someone who doesn't stutter after each and every word to be the president? Or maybe you just didn't want Dr. Death as vice president. Whatever the case may be, what little good may come out of Bush the next 4 years, there is something to look forward to. HOUSE OF RE-ANIMATOR shall be made, Stuart Gordon, who made the best one in the series as far as I'm concerned has said he was interested in directing the 4th installment but it would all depend upon who won the election...well that man won and now it appears we will be seeing Herbert West picking up his magic serum and creating another slew of monsters and gore and mayhem. Hopefully this time they will also acquire people who can actually ACT aside from the great Jeffrey Combs who was the only thing that made Beyond Re-animator watchable.

 In an interview with SKNR.NET Gordon said "One idea I am kicking around is "House of Re-animator". It is a political satire that should certain people be back in office, then I would do it. I hope I do not have to go ahead with it, but if I do, it would be about VP Cheney passing from a heart attack and since he basically runs everything, Dr. West is called in to bring him back. I would only go on with this in the event of re-election as otherwise it would be old news"  Well I'll be damned if it didn't end up happening so now we will have part 4 in the Re-Animator series and hopefully, with Gordon back, it will be able to freshen the stink that the corpse that was BEYOND RE-ANIMATOR left. Raimi Calls The Final Shot On Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash movie, 3 Movie Legends Pass On, Van Helsing and Make a Wish hit DVD on October 19th, Hillside Strangler terrorizes theatres October 8th, Dying to see The Grudge? We have exclusive clips from the remake, Dawn of the Dead SPECS!(phew, try saying that 5 times fast)

It's happening...it's not happening...it's in the works...it's not in the works...the sequel to Freddy Vs. Jason has been the number one rumor going around the horror world and well it should be. Word is that legendary character ASH from the Evil Dead series was going to be injected into the series and who hasn't wanted to see Bruce Campbell suit up to kick some ass yet again? Well....after Robert Englund and Ken Kenzinger both said yes to it....and Bruce Campbell said we have a better chance of seeing Joanie Vs. Chachi Vs. Ash....the final verdict all came down to one man...Sam "I own the rights to Ash" Raimi and what did he say? ::Dramatic pause:: . . .Well....as reported on Creature Corner...this is what Sam said

"I have great respect for those franchises," Raimi said. "I didn't want to be in a position where I was protecting Ash, the character that I want to eventually make another movie with one day, protecting him and not allowing the director to do what he felt he had to do. I didn't want to be in a weird position like that. I have a great deal or respect for Sean Cunningham. I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. He made some classics. I just didn't think it was a winning great situation for anybody." 

So there you have it...you can stop flooding Bruce's email box with will it happen cause for now....the answer is no. No word as to who they want to get to have the 2 of them to go up against but I can assure you...the instant I know...you will know! So until then...you can just rewatch Evil Dead several more times. So who will it be? Could it be Micheal Myers? Or Pinhead? Or maybe even Leatherface? Nobody really knows...but all i do know is this...they did a good job with it the first time around....don't fuck it up the second time. Stay true to the fans and not the studio...

Hollywood had a humongous loss...as they say...they always go in threes and this time it's a huge group of 3's....first we will start with the legendary actress who was best known for her role as Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 classic masterpiece...PSYCHO....Janet Leigh died on October 3rd 2004 of vasculitis at the age of 77. Originally married to Tony Curtis, she gave birth to scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kelly Curtis, she would divorce Tony and go on to marry Robert Brandt. He as well as her 2 daughters were there at her bedside when she closed her eyes for the final time. She is a piece of movie history that will be dearly missed by all, family and friends and fans alike will miss her dearly. Some other films she was in were Houdini (1953), Touch of Evil (1958), Psycho (1960), The Manchurian Candidate (1962) Bye Bye Birdie (1963) John Carpenter's The Fog (1980), even a cameo with her daughter in Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later, (1998) Janet was clocked in at being in over 63 movies in total, one hell of a career and one hell of a actress. 

Born July 6, 1927 - Died October 3rd, 2004

Next is legendary comedian who made people laugh by making fun of himself. Best known for his famous line "No respect, No respect at all!" Rodney Dangerfield died October 5th from complications caused by heart surgery. He was 82, a native of Long Island, Dangerfield first hit the comedy circuit in the 40's under the name Jack Roy. He didn't make it big till the 1980's though when he had a trio of hits, his biggest one being CADDY SHACK(1980) which also starred Chevy Chase, Ted Knight, Bill Murray, and directed by Harold Ramis. His other 2 hits were Easy Money (1983) and Back to School (1986) Right before he entered a Los Angeles hospital on August 24, 2004 in preparation for heart valve replacement surgery, he said, "If things go right, I'll be there about a week, and if things don't go right, I'll be there about an hour and a half." When asked in a interview on TV, how he would want to be remembered after he died he said "I want to be remembered as having made people laugh...if I can be remembered for that...I will be happy." Rodney...you made people laugh and you will be remembered for that...

Born November 22, 1921 - Died October 5th, 2004

Finally the most shocking of them is our third person to pass away...the man people  adored and kids wished they could be. The man of Steel...Christopher Reeve...died Sunday October 10th, 2004 from a heart attack. He was 52. Reeve was best known for the role of SUPERMAN in the original 4 Superman movies, but back in 1995 on May 27th....Christopher was paralyzed after being thrown off a horse while riding near Charlottesville, Virginia. He became a paraplegic but still he went on...he continued on, paralyzed from the neck down for 9 years....he gave such strength and helped Stem Cell research so much, I honestly believed he would walk again. He eventually regained feeling in one of his fingers...but unfortunetly he passed on...Reeve said shortly after the accident when his best friend Robin Williams came to visit "There was this guy wearing a blue scrub hat and a yellow gown and with a Russian accent, being some insane Russian doctor. ... I laughed for the first time and I knew that life was going to be OK." He was a very brave man and like Superman...he kept on going no matter what the odds were. In one of his final interviews  a few months before his death...he told Barbara Walters this "I am getting older and time is ticking. The more time goes by the more I feel a sense of urgency and I can accept anything except for complacency." His other films include The Bostonians (1984), The Aviator (1985), The Sea Wolf(1993), Morning Glory (1993) and John Carpenter's Village of the Damned (1995) Christopher...we all miss you dearly and your memory will go on for generations to come...Rest in Peace....

Born September 25th, 1952 - Died October 10th, 2004

Now to some lighter news...Van Helsing, love it or hate it, hits DVD on October 19th and it's packed with extra's, including hilarious bloopers, exclusive commentary with the director and producer, behind the scenes features and more! Legendary Monster Hunter Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) is summoned to mysterious Transylvania on a mission that will thrust him into a sweeping battle against the forces of darkness! A movie that Roger Ebert calls "Spectacular" and has more CGI then the american version of GODZILLA...check it out when it hits DVD on the 19th! 

Our next film is a movie called MAKE A WISH which is about A comic twist on the classic horror tale! Susan invites a group of ex-lovers for a camping trip to celebrate her birthday. Plans include hiking and relaxing by the old water hole. Unscheduled activities include some steamy tent-hopping. But then, one by one, the campers begin to disappear . The DVD, which comes out October 19th will contain Commentary, Interview with Director Sharon Ferranti and much more. I am actually interested in checking this one out...I shall be reviewing it soon. But in the mean time, be sure to pick your copy up on October 19th!

On October 8th, a movie named HILLSIDE STRANGLER hit theatres starring the Hitcher's C. Thomas Howell. Whats it about you ask? The shocking new film is based on the case of the Hillside Strangler, one of the most unusual and gruesome cases in the annals of American Crime. While most serial killers tend to act alone, the twisted criminal careers of Angelo Buono (played by Nick Turturro) and Kenneth Bianchi (played by C. Thomas Howell) proved that evil can run in the family…and that when it comes to serial sex murder, two is far worse than one...the movie sounds like it might be one disturbing little picture and one I have a feeling I am going to like. The next remake of a Japanese film (Ring made money...expect more of them) to hit theatres soon is THE GRUDGE starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and is the first film to be released under Sam Raimi's new production company GHOST HOUSE. A remake of JU-ON: The Grudge, a lot of buzz behind this movie is happening even Sarah saying she would like to do a sequel when this one hasn't even come out yet. But you can't wait any longer can you? Can't wait until October 22nd to see it...well we have a couple of scenes that should hold you off...if not...it's the best I can do! Sarah Michelle Gellar plays an American nurse on a mission of mercy in Tokyo who finds herself afflicted with a mystery virus that sends it's victims into a murderous rage before killing and moving on to another host...sounds good but let's hope it isn't just another dull remake. I find it funny how they can bring over a movie like HERO and have it completely in subtitles cause Tarentino says it's good and put it in theatres, but any kind of horror film from overseas...our american audiance can't sit through for more then 5 seconds. Funny how that works...

Finally, this just in, DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) is hitting DVD and we got the low down on it. This is one hell of a movie, I loved it and you know how I feel about remakes so for this reviewer to be telling you to pick up a copy of a remake...it means something. It invades your local store on October 26th. Pick it up!!!

King is Riding The Bullet on October 15th!

Stephen King's latest book turned movie will not be seen on CBS or NBC in the span of 4 nights with umpteen commercials injected into it. This time on October 15th, Jonathan Tucker stars in the adaptation to Stephen King's E-Book, Riding the Bullet, centers around a college student hitch-hiking along the back roads of Maine on a pitch-black Autumn night, on a journey to reach the hospital where his mother lay dying. As his trip turns into a moving odyssey of unexpected proportions, he faces not only very real demons from his past, but uncertainties from the present and discovers much more. Ken talks about Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash, UNCUBED gets pics, and Anaconda's 3!?

As this saga over the biggest rumor in horror history since EVIL DEAD 4 and PHANTASM 5...we have the FvJvA saga....and after Robert said it is real, and Bruce said don't hold your breath...the 3rd voice was asked and Ken says they are almost ready. They are just dotting the I's and crossing the T's. Which means that it WILL happen....BUT....until there is a formal announcement...we can only hope and pray for it to come true. I for one would love to see Ash on the big screen again duking it out with these 2 and educating the world as to who ASHLEY J. WILLIAMS is! Let us all hope and pray for this to be true. I shall keep you posted...

To the people out there who have seen the first CUBE and it's sequel CUBE 2: HYPERCUBE, you probably were wondering if they would be making a part 3. Well your prayers have been answered, the 2nd sequel entitled "CUBE ZERO" was just rated R by the MPAA for strong gore/violence and langauge....let's hope it's more gory then the last one and also, this could make for a very nice ending to a trilogy...let's hope they dont' fuck it up and make this one one hell of a sequel! And finally, I have gotten wind of some very bad news...apparently enough people went to see Anacondas (damn you all!) and Screen Gems feels it did way better then expected (expectations must have been preeeetty low) so now they aren't going to wait around another 7 years...they are hopping on the wagon and making ANACONDAS 3 and may God have mercy upon us all! Seriously, why do they need to start making sequels to this shitty film all these years later, I mean come on! Ya know, I am just so fucking sick of this crap....make a NEW series....or somethign NEW instead of being like hey....we need to make a sequel to some film that did ok at the box office back in 1997! Malevolence Gets Pushed Back and Doubled, Amityville Finds It's Home

As I promised I have been keeping up with Malevolence as it spreads across the country, bringing fear into audiance's and smiles on horror fans faces. Good news is it hits up Long Island to make yet another group of movie goers jump out of there skins...bad news is that it got pushed back from September 3rd to friday September 10th at the National Amusements Island 16, Holtsville, NY and also National Amusements, Farmingdale. Lucky New Yorkers! Seems they get all the cool things, Malevolence, Time Square, Jason Voorhees...I mean why can't monsters ever attack BOSTON!? Whatever....anyway...make sure you check it out, there are 2 screenings and now you have no excuse!!!

For those of you out there anxiously awaiting the remake to Amityville Horror, you will be happy to know a house has been found and selected to star in it. They are shooting the film in Buffalo Grove, IL. but the house that is starring in the movie is at Silver Lake in Salem, WI. This was first reported on www.Creature-corner.com website and was sent in by an unofficial fan site dedicated to the movie's star, Ryan Reynolds. I will keep you posted as news comes in, the Amityville remake is due out on April 15, 2005.

Ohio gets Twisted, and Get Teased again by Species

Scream Queen Robyn Griggs is hosting here first horror convention, the Twisted Nightmare convention in the state of Ohio, those lucky people will be able to meet her among a awesome bunch of guests that will have any horror fan smiling by the time they leave. We have, Tom Savini, Reggie Bannister, Tony Todd, Doug Bradley, Dick Warlock, Robert Z'Dar, Bill Johnson, David Naughton, Lloyd Kaufman, of course, the beautiful Robyn Griggs will be there. The event takes place from September 17-19 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio (Quality Airport Inn, 7230 Engle Road) The event hours include Friday, 4pm-9pm, Saturday, 10am-6pm and Sunday, 10am-6pm. It was first reported here when I got casting calls about the film way back in the day, now the first teaser trailer is here for the film. It is just that, a TEASER, but it still gives us a nice glimpse at what is to come. I for one hope this is going to be a decent sequel, its direct to video in December. It will premiere on the Sci-Fi Channel November 13th, and then catch the director's cut with everything you missed on Sci-fi when it hits DVD in December. Natasha won't be starring (damn it) but she will be making a special appearance in it. Whether its a cameo or another character I don't know yet but it should be interesting to say the least. Malevolence takes Long Island, Dawn of the Dead finally gets what it deserves, 2 Classic Tv Shows hit DVD, Anderson sequel crazy, and horror takes over the box office and gets the WB believing in the power of the son, the father and the holy check book!

After a very successful run at Horrorfind with a solid audiance reaction, Malevolence will be opening theatrically on Friday, September 3rd at National Amusements Island 16, Holtsville NY (Suffolk, Long Island) The audiances keep loving the movie and seeing as how I saw it first hand, I know the hype behind it isn't bull. If you are in the area, this is a must see, definetly check it out and see why people (including myself) are loving it. Hell, even if you're not in the area, come on down to see it. Believe me, it's worth it. For everyone who was bummed out about the release of the 1 disc version of Dawn of the Dead a few months back, fear not. Anchor Bay hasn't let horror fans down as of yet, and they don't intend to any time soon. I have just gotten word from Anchor Bay about there new 4-disc, ULTIMATE edition to George A. Romero's classic, Dawn of the Dead. Let me tell you...the wait was worth it. Not only does it contain 3 versions of the film including the long sought after European version, but also contains 13 hours of extras!!! We are talking brand new interviews, three separate commentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, commercials and location tours. Oh but it gets better my friends! It also includes 2 documentaries and shit loads more! 

The first disc is the U.S. Theatrical Version of the movie containing audio commentary with George A. Paul Anderson, many have strong feelings against him, many say he messed up the Resident Evil series as well as AVP (Can't really disagree with AVP) other people, like myself, go into his movies expecting to be JUST entertained and get just that with films like Mortal Kombat and Event Horizon. With Resident Evil 2: Apocolypse coming out on September 17th with Anderson only producing and writing, Paul has already begun talking about Resident Evil 3. Yeah, he is so gung ho on this series that he wants to keep cranking them out left and right. Anderson said this about it to Sci-Fi Wire "It would be a franchise I would want to stay very much in control of and very involved in, there's a broad range of stories to tell, a very wide Resident Evil universe, so there are a lot of potential stories that we could do that would be tied in to the video game." I for one loved the first Resident Evil movie and I don't care what other people say, I still loved it. I look forward to seeing the second installment (hopefully it won't follow the trend of previous movies I was hyped on seeing and turning out to be pure shit) and am interested in seeing what else Paul has in store for us with the series. He let me down with AVP but supposedly the studio dipped its grubby hands into the final cut, slicing and dicing it down to PG-13 which really pissed Paul off. He says that there will be a director's cut with all the gore put back in on DVD so...we shall see. I still have faith that he will pull through for I can't let one movie decide how I think about his whole career (Mortal Kombat kicked ass! Fuck all who oppose!) so I will keep you updated on that.

Finally (yes, this is one long ass news update!) this weekend, the box office is over run by horror (FINALLY!!! OUR DAY HAS COME!!) but sadly, its not the money maker it should be. This weekend, Exorcist: The Beginning possessed the number one spot taking in 18.2 Million, second place goes to Without a Paddle which took in 13.7 Million, then Princess Diaries 2 (bet you never thought you would see that title on this site huh?) took in 13.2 million dollars. Alien Vs. Predator got it's ass whooped back to the 4th spot taking in 12.5 million dollars, bringing its total intake up to a cool 63.1 million. Lions Gate's sent Open Water into wide release and got it the number 5 spot taking in 11.8 million bring its total from the limited release up to 14.8 million. Not bad seeing as how the film cost 320,000 to make and only 2.5 million to be bought by Lions Gate Films. 6 goes to Collateral with 10.5 million 7 goes to Bourne Supremacy taking in 6.6 million, don't cry for them, that measly 6.6 million brought its total intake to 151 million so...no tears. 8 spot goes to Manchurian Candidate with 4.2 million, The Village hanging in there with the 9th spot bringing in 3.68 million, bringing its total to 107 million, and finally, the 10 spot goes to Garden State with 3.2 Million dollars. There you have it folks, horror has taken over the box office but if you ask me...it is a lame take over with the top selling film being 18.2 million dollars...Oh well...Anacondas opens next weekend...maybe that will make some cash...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Ohhh mercy I kill myself sometimes.

LAND OF THE DEAD gets first named actor, and Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash more realistic then once thought and news on SAW

For those of you who have been wondering who is going to be in the 4th installment of the Night of the living dead series...well wonder no more. Dennis Hopper has been signed on to star in the long awaited installment to the legendary trilogy. Yes folks, it should be interesting seeing him starring in the latest installment. Wonder if he will be weilding 2 chainsaws like in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Nah...that would be dumb. Anyway...there you have it. I will keep you updated as to who will be joining and whats what with it.

Ok, now rumors have been flying all over the place about the new Freddy Vs Jason sequel and the new character that would be joining. Most people called bullshit on the whole idea of Ash from the Evil Dead series being a part of it and even Bruce Campbell himself said it was a rumor. Now all of a sudden, Bloody-Disgusting.com has acquired a script for the new sequel, and it is in fact containing Ash. Word is that New Line is in serious talks with Sam Raimi to get the rights to the Ash character, he will NOT be directing though. Quite obvious why he won't be, Spiderman 3 needs to be made. Now, during an interview with Sci-fi.com Robert Englund was asked about this, he had this to say 

"The premise is that if Freddy gets his hand on the necronomicon, he can return to life, as an immortal superbeing to seek revenge on Jason. Meanwhile, Freddy has to posses sleeping kids to try to kill Jason, but Jason just annihilates them. The parents of Elm Street view this as Jason murdering kids, so they hire a few supernatural being hunters to kill Jason. They top the team with Ash, who needs the money to fund his trip to destroy the book of the dead. Freddy realizes Ash has the Necronomicon in his dreams, so he has to get into Ash's mind. So that interlocks the battle. Hope they finish soon, I'm looking forward to working with Bruce (Campbell) and Ken (Kerzinger)."

Sounds rather interesting if it comes to...but don't get your hopes up kiddies. Reported on Bruce Campbell's website is this "Jason vs Freddy vs. Ash? Thats the rumor floating around this pile of clutter we call the internet. My advice, don't hold your breath. Chances are, we'll be seeing Joanie Loves Chachi Loves Ash first. In other words, nothing to report on our end."

So now comes the true question...which fucking rumor is true!?!? Would it be bad ass if Ash were put into the film? Hell yes! But the thing is, will they, and will it be the kind of thing that is worth it, I don't want to get all hyped up to see Ash on the big screen again only to see him be knocked off in the first 10 minutes (Maniac Cop 2) but it will be bad ass to see him duking it out against these 2 bad guys. I am hoping it comes true and it goes to the full extent, granted most people will have no clue as to who Ash is but they are idiots anyway so who cares. If this all falls through though, don't worry, they will have another script pitting Freddy and Jason up against each other and possibly another horror icon. We shall keep our fingers crossed and chainsaws oiled. 

Finally, there has been much buzz on the new film SAW (pun intended) and I know that with the posters looking as bad ass as they are, and the word behind it being good, I have been long awaiting it's release. Well, we may in fact have to wait a little bit longer before we can see SAW cut its way into theatres. Not that much, only by a week, Lions Gate Films has pushed it back from October 1st, to October 8th so it will be an extra week before we can see it unleashed upon us. Hey, it could be worse, it could have been pushed back to October 8th 2005! With a dead body laying between them, SAW is about two men who wake up in a secure lair of a serial killer who's been nicknamed "Jigsaw" by the police because of his unusual calling card. Be sure to check it out! 

New way to watch movies online, Scuba Industry panicing over Open Water, TCM gets a prequel

Finally there is a way to download movies and have it be LEGAL. Yes, legal, it's called CinemaNow, a legal movie download site. CinemaNow has thousands of titles from every genre out there available for a download for a monthy subscription fee. Right now they are offering a 7 day trial for free, completely risk free. So hurry up before the offer expires! I have check it out and let me tell you, its worth it, I mean, its got some very hard to find films that haven't had the luck to be re-released on DVD yet and they are in pretty good condition. I read that the scuba industry is getting worried that the new Lions Gate film, Open Water, which opened in select theatres last Friday and opens everywhere August 20th, for they fear that people will run from scuba diving, the way they ran from beaches when the original Jaws came out. The film has been getting rave reviews and is said to be scary as hell. The low budget independant film is based on a true story and is said to deliver the goods and is being predicted as the sleeper hit of the summer. I will keep you updated. But on the plus side, the final poster was in and I still like the original one better, shown to the right.

Finally, TCM remake is not yet done taunting us, oh no, now they continue to torment with the news of a prequel to the remake. Word is that it is going to be about the 34 or some odd murders you didn't get to see happen in the TCM film.The only person signed on so far is Andrew Byrniarski, yes, he is reprising his role as Leatherface and is the first person to reprise the role of Leatherface. Well, at least its not another remake...::sigh:: I will keep you posted

Next comes the classic thriller about a traveling sales man waging a battle for survival against a 40-ton truck that picked him out of everyone else on the road. Duel is Stephen Spielburg's first full length feature film and is a classic in my eyes, I used to watch this classic on TV all the time and can't wait to see it on DVD. DUEL comes crashing onto shelves August 17th with a DVD packed with some decent features. Extra Features include a conversation with director Stephen Spielburg,  Stephen Spielburg and the Small Screen, Richard Matheson: The Writing of Duel, Photograph and Poster Gallery, Trailer, Cast and Filmmaker bio, and Production Notes. The newest horror film to deal with zombies is a film called "Shaun of the Dead" and it's coming our way very soon. A box office hit in the U.K., the movie follows the hilarious adventures of underachiever Shaun and his best friend Ed as they cope with the Zombie Day invasion of North London and attempt to save/rescue Shaun's girlfriend Liz. Sound funny enough? Well I watched the trailer it looks like a cross between Office Space and Dawn of the Dead which...can't be a bad thing cause both are great films. Now for some strange reason, we have 2 sequels being made to 2 80's horror films. My question is, WHY? I mean, yes, it will be cool to finally see a SEQUEL to a old horror film instead of a remake but what possessed them to do this now? Whatever, it's to bad they didn't decide to make a sequel to BLACK CHRISTMAS instead of remaking it. Anyway, My Bloody Valentine is finally getting a sequel after all of these years. Yes the one about the miner or something I forget. I reviewed it I think and yet, I can't remember what the hell it was about...good job Marcus! But supposedly there will be the "lost" footage from the first implemented into the sequel. See, the film couldn't get these scenes put into it and keep it's R rating (either that, or Paramount just didn't feel like putting the effort into adding the scenes) Whatever the case may be, they will be put into the film via a flash back possibly. No plot elements yet but I will keep you updated.

The other film to get a sequel is a film that had the most bizarre deaths (or so it thought) to ever be caught on film. Yes folks, Happy Birthday to Me is also getting its day in the sun and finally getting a part 2. My question is...why? I mean, I liked Happy Birthday to Me don't get me wrong, but you need to ask yourself....does it REALLY need a part 2? But this sequel has a plot, kinda, it is going to focus on the teenage daughter of the killer from the first film. Once again...WHY is this needed and why not just do a completely seperate film? The reason I am so worried about this is because after having survived the last 80's film to get a sequel in the new millenium *cough*Hitcher*cough* one can only believe these two will amount to the same. But we have the original producers of both films, John Dunning and Andre Link. working on these projects, so all may not be lost. Who knows...I will keep ya posted.

And last but most certainly not least, we come to Resident Evil. I myself can not wait to see RE 2: Apocolypse for I loved the first one. But its not coming out for a while so don't worry. There is something to keep us at bay in the meantime. No! I am not talking about buying another version of Resident Evil, I am talking about the newest Resident Evil game, Resident Evil: Outbreak. You can control up to 8 seperate characters each with there own stories to tell. 

The setting has changed to Raccoon City where terror fills the streets as its citizens try to escape the devastating biological weapon that turns all living creatures into flesh-eating zombies. Soon only a few desperate survivors remain uninfected and they must find a way out of the city before the government takes the only option left and quarantines the entire area. Permanently. Re: Outbreak is coming out on PS2 this September which kicks major ass! I can't wait to try it out myself, I have been a fan of the series with the games (only reason I own a Gamecube is cause of Resident Evil)  So while waiting for the big sequel, sustain your thirst for blood with Resident Evil: Outbreak.

Anchor Bay unleashes MALEVOLENCE, Ghost In The Shell 2 gets a trailer, and your favorite monsters go HD!

For those of you who have yet to hear about Malevolence, let me tell you, it's a new horror film for horror fans. From the sounds of it, Malevolence could very well be the horror film we have been waiting for and with the film winning awards its got me extremely excited. I am highly anticipating this film to be the next big thing. So what is it about you may ask?

Created as the middle section of a three-part trilogy, Malevolence takes place ten years after the unspeakable crimes of a deranged madman. When a bungled bank robbery intersects with inhabitants of the Pennsylvania farm country, a raw and edgy descent into terrifying madness unfolds.

Malevolence premieres July 31st in select theatres, one of which, I will be attending the premiere and interviewing the films director , Steven Mena. As I reported before on Ghost in the Shell 2, DreamsWorks has sent me the trailer for the movie and it's looking good. Never before seen clips from "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" will be shown to Otakon Attendees this Friday, July 30th, between  11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Footage of "GITS2" will be shown throughout the 3-day convention at the DreamWorks booth. Be sure to check it out. DreamWorks sends us into the future with GHOST IN THE SHELL 2, Exclusive Sneak Peek at the fight of the summer, and Resident Evil 2 poster and trailer

For those of you who haven't heard of the original Ghost in the Shell, it was an anime that got great critical praise and was rather interesting. But now DreamWorks is releasing the long awaited sequel to GITS, Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence had its premiere a the 29th of June but is being released unto DVD in September.

Ghost in the Shell 2 is the story of a solitary cyborg who desperately wants to hold on to what’s left of his humanity in a world where the worth of the human soul is fading almost into obscurity.

So check it out when it hits DVD and be sure to pick up the original if you haven't seen it already. The sequel comes out September 17th on DVD so check it out.

Now to the big fight we have all been waiting for, last summer it was Freddy Vs. Jason...this summer...it will be...Alien Vs. Predator! Yes folks not only is the website up, the trailer (which is pretty bad ass) out, the poster in theatres (which is neh) but now, exclusive to IFILM is a sneak peek at the film. Heres the link...enjoy. it's the story about scientists investigating an ancient pyramid in Antarctica discover Alien and Predator in a death match! Based on the comic-book battle of the super-nemeses. Alien Vs. Predator comes out in theatres this August.

And finally, Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse, now gives us the first trailer that actually SHOWS stuff instead of the very cool teaser trailer. The trailer gives us a look at the Nemesis as well and he is looking pretty damn bad ass. I am hoping that this one doesn't go the way of MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION which it very well could. Both take after the 3rd game and completely skip the second. Only thing I'm not liking is the fact that now, Alice, is SUPER HUMAN, you will see what I mean in the trailer but I'm thinking that could make this film really gay or it could be actually a decent idea. But leaning more towards the crap side. Milla Jovovich is looking extremely hot as usual and I love how they are also putting in Jill Valentine. Also, let's pray the studio doesn't decide to fuck it up and make it PG-13 cause seriously...I am looking to see the Nemesis rip the shit out of people. Lions Gate unleashes more overseas horror, Alien Vs. Predator gets a poster and Moore gets more threats 

Lions Gate Films will be unleashing the terrorfying asian film made by the creators of RINGU...Ju-on: The Grudge. I haven't seen this film yet, but I must say, from looking over the stills...this films looks like it will be scary as all hell. I can't wait to see this one! Whats it about you ask?

It looks like a normal, everyday house, but the atmosphere about it is anything but. Something happened here once... no, even now there is a terror here, born of a spirit that possesses this place. The various supernatural experiences undergone by the different owners of the house, unaware of the horrible events that have taken place here, mingle across time, and the true form of the terrifying, invisible "Ju-On" that nests in this house becomes clear...

I have yet to see it but let me tell you, from the stills I am looking at and from what I have heard, I can't wait to sink my teeth into this puppy! It looks like it will be terrorfyingly good.

Thats right folks, the new AVP finally has a poster but does it live up to that of the last VS poster? Freddy Vs. Jason? Not really. In fact, it kind of looks...they just cut the top of a fan boy's art picture and put it on the poster. Plus, where the fuck is the Predator?! Anyway, you can judge for yourself, I guess the old saying holds true to this, don't judge a book by its cover, or in this case, a movie by its poster. AVP, directed by Paul "Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil" Anderson, has one mean ass trailer and is looking like it could be well worth the wait! You be the judge, let me know what you think cause I am drawn between pure shit....and mildy entertaining.

Just having seen the contraversal film "Fahrenheit 9/11" I was eager to hear how some of the people took to the movie. Well, apparently people are either anti-bush and going full speed ahead with the damnation of him, or they are anti-moore and are full speed ahead with the booting him out of the country and want to kill him. Yes thats right, Michael Moore has been receiving death threats due to his film. How was the movie you ask? Very interesting, what are my views on it? I don't feel like getting political on the site so yeah. The movie proves some very good points and made me laugh a few times. But seriously, the one thing you have to admit about him, regardless of how you feel about his movie or his views, you have to admit he has got a lot of guts and balls of steel. You have to give him that. 

Van Helsing Hits DVD, Club Dread comes to you, and a reject rejects Devil's Rejects. Also more people fill the house!

Seeing as how Van Helsing has hit it big (51 Million worth of big and another 50 million over seas) the release of an animated series isn't anything to be shocked about. On May 11th, Van Helsing: The London Assignment hits shelves and it is worth the watch. On the winding and fog-enshrouded streets of London, the sinister being only known as Mr. Hyde, terrorizes the city in a haunting spree of mayhem and murder. With the populace in a panic, the legendary monster hunter Van Helsing arrives in London on a mission to track down and capture the elusive Mr. Hyde.

Thats the story line to it, and best part of it is, Hugh Jackman lended his voice to the cartoon. The DVD will contain Van Helsing: Behind the Screams, a documentary on the world of Van Helsing, The Making of the Van Helsing Game, Animatic to Animation showcasing how they transformed scenes from the movie into the cartoon, and an interview with Hugh Jackman. Definetly worth the checking out. 

Club Dread is the newest film from Broken Lizard, yes, the geniuses who brought us SUPERTROOPERS (Car RamRod!!! CHICKEN FUCKER) and it hits DVD May 25th. This hilarious new horror film pays homage to the classics yet also doubles as a great mystery the bikini-clad vacationers and screwball resort crew are up to their necks in sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll when bodies start turning up, and everyone must stay together if they want to stay alive. Starring Bill Paxton as Coconut Pete, sexy Britney Daniel (Joe Dirt) and the entire Broken Lizard comedy team.

    Basic storyline, but what a good movie it is. I have seen it and let me tell you, it's worth the watch. It comes out May 25th so make sure you pick up yourself a copy. And your friends, and your family. The DVD contains funny commentary by the BROKEN LIZARD team and let me tell you, they are just as funny on commentary as they are in the movie. Check it out!!!

Ok Folks...now...even if "The Devil's Rejects" has a bad script (which I highly doubt) the star power behind it will make this the greatest B-horror movie of all time. Added to the roster is P.J."Halloween" Soles as a mother who gets carjacked by the looney family, Steve "Ed Gein" Railsback who plays Sheriff Wydell's brother, William "Once Upon a Time in America" Forsythe has accepted the role Sheriff John Wydell, brother of slain Sheriff Wydell played by Tom Towles,  Danny "Once upon a time in New Mexico" Trejo as the hunter Rondo hired by Wydell's brother to hunt down the Firefly Clan, Natasha Lyonne will be playing a prostitute named Candy who is working under Charlie Altamont (Ken Foree's character) who becomes the eye candy for Otis (Bill Mosely)Tyler Mane will be replacing Robert Mukes as Rufus Jr. Also on the sadder side, according to Karen Black's website, she will not be returning as Mother Firefly either. Which really sucks ass. You lose some but we gain some, can they really make it without the presence of Karen Black?  For you Army of Darkness lovers, production designer Anthony Trembly who worked on AOD has joined the crew as well. Only one way to find out. "Devil's Reject's" script is finished and from the sounds of it, it sounds like one hell of a film. This horror fan can't fucking wait for this film to erupt unto the big screen! I shall keep you posted as to who else joins the crew.

The Dead may walk yet again, 2 beginnings to Exorcist Prequel, and Berryman, Foree and Hodder join the clan

With the success of "Dawn of the Dead" remake, studios have opened there eyes to the 3rd installment in the "...dead" trilogy. Word is they are in talks for remaking DAY OF THE DEAD and that Robert Rubenstein is reaching deep into his pockets to produce the latest remake. But the real question is, how much closer are we to the 4th Dead film, the one Romero has written and horror fans have been DYING to see. Yeah that one. Only time can tell....

"The power of Christ compell's you!" And the power of releasing 2 versions of the long awaited prequel to the Exorcist, one in theatres, and one direct to video, has come to pass. Yes, seeing as how the original director got booted, and they basically had to re-do the whole film. The original director has decided to release his version of the movie direct to video the same day that the new version of THE EXORCIST IV: THE BEGINNING hits theaters. Which version is the true version? Fuck if I know, but this can only mean one thing, there WON'T be a part 5 because who the fuck is going to see a movie they can just as easily rent on DVD. Proof enough should be the re-release of the original Exorcist uncut when it tanked at the box office. People just waited it to hit DVD and chances are they will with this. I shall keep you updated.

And now to the good news, "The Devil's Rejects" or House of 1,000 Corpses 2 has added some B-movie star power behind it even more then it had originally. Not only will Bill Moseley, Karen Black, Sid Haig, Sheri Moon (no shit) and most of the cast and crew from the original, but it will also have The Hills Have Eyes' Michael Berryman, Dawn of the Dead's Ken Foree and Friday the 13th's Kane Hodder. Yes folks, Ken Foree will be playing Captain Spaulding's brother (most be his brother from another mother) and Kane Hodder will be the stunt coordinator on the set and he promises "the most hardcore violent and visceral stunts he's ever put together" One can only hope. Now all we need is Robert Englund, Jeffrey Combs, and Bruce Campbell and we will have the ULTIMATE B HORROR MOVIE!!! Who the fuck needs a script, just having all of these big names on screen is any horror fan's wet dream!

Helloween gets ripped apart and slashed, Close Your Eyes will open your eyes on April 23rd, and Roddy McDowall may be dead, but that sure doesn't stop Charlie Brewster from killing vampires!

Well, looks like Dimension Films finally realized that having a guy who kills people via butcher knives would not make a good opponent to someone who can have chains come out of the floor. Helloween, originally slated for release this October 31st, has been slashed from the slate and will not be made at all.....for now. A script had been sent in years back that contained the 2 fiends duking it out. It was penned by writer/director Dave Parker, who recently helped write the video game adaptation of House of the Dead (Gee, maybe Dimensions saw the film) Whatever the case, we are safe for now my friends. In the meantime, we can be tortured by the 2 fiends for they both have there own set of sequels coming our way...yeah...makes ya want to run out and buy them doesn't it? Yeah...me neither

Close Your Eyes is hitting theatres Close Your Eyes is a chilling psychological thriller about the cost of looking to far into the human mind.  Hypotherapist Dr Michael Strother (Visnjic) has a dangerous gift; he gets flashes from the inside of his patients' minds. Whilst trying to help a police detective stop smoking, he sees in her mind an image of a young girl floating below the surface of a stream. He is soon caught up in the detective's pursuit of a ritualistic killer who believes he has found the secret of immortality. Close Your Eyes stars Goran Visjnic (ER) Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings) Paddy Considine (In America) and Corin Redgrave. The film looks extremely good and this horror fan can't wait to delve into the depths of this psychological thriller! 

And finally, I have heard word about a 3rd Fright Night being released and it is starring William Ragsdale. Now I keep this at the bottom of the news update because it is very likely....it's bullshit. First off, the sequel tanked so bad that it barely can get a decent DVD release. Second, with no big names attached, an no real money to be made, no company that I know of will distribute it. Third, NO RODDY MCDOWALL!!! And as much as I would LOVE to see him back in action, I still think they should leave it be. If it is true...GOD HELP THEM if they make it like the Hitcher 2. I will keep you informned.

When there is no more room in hell, the DEAD will rule the box office!!! Also, updates on Seed of Chucky, Ash oils up the saw, Jackson hires Black to kill giant monkey, and House of 1,000 Corpses 2 gets a name!

Yeah thats alot to swallow. I know it's past the weekend but it's still cool to know that a remake to DAWN OF THE DEAD devoured Gibson's PASSIONS as it infected the theatres making 30 million dollars opening weekend! Nice! Check out the review for DAWN OF THE DEAD here and then GO SEE THE FUCKING MOVIE!!! Oh yeah! 

 Now to Seed of Chucky, yes folks, it has finally come to pass and Chucky is back in action again. He is coming back for a 5th outing and it's in pre-production right now. Brad Dourif will return to be the lovely play doll and Jennifer Tilly will come back as well. The story is about Chucky's gender confused son and him bringing him up or something to that effect. Sounds like it will be funny at least.  Can't wait!!!

Now to the sequel to Freddy Vs. Jason, word is, there is a 20 page script that got passed in at New Line that contains Ash.  Now these rumors have been going over the net and spreading like wildfire.  But this one seems to be legit supposedly...word is they are in talks with Sam Raimi about using the Ash character and the only Sam is going to allow them to use him, is if they fund Evil Dead 4. Sounds like it will be interesting. The quotes I got from my source about the script are this "it's going to be about Ash going back to the cabin to get rid of the Book of the Dead . He reads a passage that is supposed to send it into hell and instead of sending the book into hell....he pulls Freddy and Jason out and now it's up to him to stop them before they take over the world." Now that sounds bad ass!!! If this is true...then it could infact be one of the greatest horror battles of all time!!!! I will keep you updated!!

As we all know, Peter Jackson has been wanting to do a remake to KING KONG for a while now, and with Lord of the Rings, he now has the power to do whatever the fuck he wants to. So now it's in pre-production and the lead actor will be played by none other then...Jack Black! Yes folks! Jack Black has been signed on board to fight the giant ape opposite Naomi Watts as the film-maker/entrepreneur who captures KONG and brings him to New York. This will be the 2nd remake and he 3rd person to play said character. The first being Robert Armstrong in the original and then Charles Grodin in the 1976 remake. The names were changed but it was the same guy. I have had faith in Jackson and he has yet to let me down, let's hope to see some hobbits get squished in this as well!!!

And finally, we come to House of 1,000 Corpses 2, which is no longer called that for Rob Zombie has dropped that title because he wants it to be a stand-alone sequel. He has replaced it with the name fans gave the characters, "The Devil's Rejects" and completely dropped the whole "Corpses 2" title. The story goes like this, the firefly clan is on the run, their house has been raided, certain family members are dead, and the cops are looking for them. They keep on going, killing along the way, and then they meet up with another family of psychopaths whose names are Adam Banjo, Bubba, Charlie, Dobson, Gloria Sullivan, Jimmy Cracker, Rondo, Roy Sullivan, Snapper, Wendy Banjo, and Wydell. Nothing on who or what they are doing except for Wydell. He is a religious freak who is also Tom Towles brother from the first film. Oh boy! I can't wait...it's going to have a whole new look, feel, and everything. This will be sweet! I CANT WAIT!!!  

Bill Paxton is coming to Club Dread and you are all invited!!!

All right, here's the scoop, a new horror film is coming to town from 20th Century Fox, a horror film/comedy film from the warped minds who brought you Super Troopers, Broken Lizard is back and surrounded by limber, wanton women on a booze-soaked island resort owned by Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton), a rock star has-been. But the non-stop party takes a turn for the weird when dead bodies start turning up faster than you could drink a rum punch. But Coconut Pete wouldn't dream of bumming out his guests. So, while the resort-goers tan, guzzle and get their groove on, the staff frantically attempts to figure out who is stalking them.

The plot alone is reason enough to go, it hits theatres February 27th and you should all make sure you charter a voyage to this club. “I’ve been to some of these resorts before and you realize that they are literally designed to get as many people laid as possible and they disguise the entire day around that." Said  Steve Lemme, one of the members of BROKEN LIZARD, the quintet that created this movie, who plays the seemingly suave Juan Castillo: "You have all kinds of activities and games at these place but they’re all about one thing. So the fun part of CLUB DREAD is that everybody’s trying to keep this get-laid attitude going while also trying to figure out who’s killing people on the island.”

There you have it folks, this is one film that is a must see, one that I know I will be seeing and one that you should be seeing as well!!!  This looks like it could really become one for the history books, I mean, you have partying, boozing, tons of big breasted babes, murder mystery, tons of big breasted babes, horror, and most importantly...tons of BIG BREASTED BABES!!!!Whats NOT to like!? I don't know about you, but Supertroopers was a pleasant surprise of hilarious off the wall humor! This has a lot of potential!!! So in the words of Coconut Pete “Have a good time all the time . . . always eat the worm.”

Samwise Gamgee first took on a giant spider, now he takes on 4 other kinds of CGI characters....plus another sequel to a series long forgotten?

Since most of you are probably saying...what the hell is he talking about? Hold your horses...No...there will not be a film following the adventures of Samwise Gamgee...sorry. But Sean Astin, the actor who played him has decided to make his directorial debut with a long awaited comic book adaptation...yes thats right. He has decided to take on the "Fantastic Four" movie, but he has to compete with the likes of Steven "Traffic, Ocean's Eleven" Soderbergh with George Clooney (a personal favorite of Steven's) as the lead role Reed Richards. Astin says ""I'm a friend of George Clooney too. I think he would make a perfect Reed." Like hell you say? Well...he is under consideration...Astin adds "Yes. I'm in the running to direct this $100 million to $130 million movie which the studio wants to release in 2004. I've got a meeting scheduled but I can't talk about it yet." Hmmm George Clooney in a comic book movie? Let's just hope its not a repeat of the infamous "Batman and Robin" or else it won't just be Reed Richards who will be able to stretch. (I know...it makes no sense...shut up)

And in other news, you all may remember a film a while back in 1995 that gave us our first glimpse...at Natasha Henstridge...and what a glimpse that was!!!! Followed by a much lesser sequel in 1998, we all thought "Species" had it's run and was done. Well....we guessed wrong. Casting calls have been sent out for a "Species 3" looking for new blood for the lovely "Sil" to find, and fuck the ever loving shit out of. Not much is known about the sequel, whether it will be DTV or a theatrical release is yet to be announced. From the sounds of it, I doubt Natasha will be returning for a 3rd outing I am afraid...to be quite honest, if they were going to make a sequel to it, why not do it a while back....like...when people actually cared about Species and horny young teenagers convinced there parents it was a movie about evolution and not some hot blond bombshell looking for a mate on earth to have hot passionate sex with so it could give birth to a baby. (Yeah....didn't work for me either) I will keep you posted as I get the news folks!!!!

Dawn of the Dead, Prom Night, Resident Evil 2, and TREMORS 4 pictures and DVD details!!!

Seeing as how a lot has happened since happened since December 16th, I decided to pack you with updates, first off...Dawn of the Dead, many of you may have already seen the trailer that has found it's way onto the net. Or maybe you saw it in one of the theatres. Sad to say, it actually LOOKS somewhat decent...I know...I just scrubbed my hands with turpentine after typing that...but it does! Needless to say, a poster has also found it's way onto the net. And once again...(damn this scrubbing hurts!!!) the poster looks bad ass!!! Could this be a sign that this movie might not suck 18 ways from Sunday? Don't think I will give it any slack either...it is STILL a remake of the classic so...don't hold your breath folks. 

Now onto the remake news...yes folks...we have MORE remakes to report for you. Don't  you just love how now, almost every NEW horror movie that is reported is either a lame ass sequel or a fucking remake of a film that made some kind of money? I want to know what happens when they run out of movies to remake! Anyway, talks are underway for a remake of the original PROM NIGHT starring Jamie Lee Curtis (Damn Jamie Kennedy for mentioning it in Scream!!!) and like the TCM remake...this will not be a REMAKE remake...it's a "re-imaging" of it which will mean, it's a part 5 but they will just call it a remake. ::sigh:: Can't wait ::rolls eyes:: 

Some good news is that of Resident Evil 2: Apocolypse, which has pics appearing all over the net! Now, I am not sure about you people, but I for one loved the original Resident Evil movie, I have  been a fan of the games for a long time and felt Paul Anderson did a great job at capturing the feel of the games. Well the sequel has finished filming in Toronto and a release date is soon to follow (I hope) But in the meantime...we can wet our whistles on these pics...it shows Jill Valentine to the left of me and of course, Milla is back and still looking hot as all hell! Also in this installment is Carlos, along with the Nemesis (of which I am SURE you all know of) This installment is supposed to take place during Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and has Milla's character meeting up with the video game characters. People were all pissed off cause they didn't have any characters from the game in the original movie but whatever. I have high hopes for this film and I am hoping it doesn't disappoint. We'll see....

Now to Tremors 4...yes folks, after 3 movies, and a tv series, Universal is now giving us "Tremors 4" which is actually a prequel to the original movie. Michael Gross returns to the series as Hiram Gummer, the great-grandfather to Tremor's Burt Gummer, who must ride the remote mining town of Rejection, Nevada from an unseen predator. Bonus features include Special Effects Featurette: The Graboids Strike, a behind-the-scenes look, commentary with director S.S. Wilson, miniature, deleted scenes and a gag reel. The DVD was released January 2nd and it's filled with extra's to make the avid fans mouths water with delight. I for one know that I am going to be checking it  out the instant I find it. You should to!

The Creeper creeps onto DVD December 23rd, he knows who he is killing, and you can know what he is offering!

Thats right! I got an email from the good folks at MGM and they have sent me a press release for Jeepers Creepers 2. So what can you expect out of this DVD? Here is what, We get Deleted Scenes and moments, audio commentary from the cast and director Victor Salva, Creeper Commentary by Jonathan Breck, Brad Parker, and Brian Penikas, "A Day In Hell" Behind-The-Scenes Documentary, "Lights Camera Creeper" Featurette, Creepers Creation Featurette, "Digital Effects by the Orphanage" Featurette, “Creeper Composer” Featurette, “The Creeper’s Lair” and “Ventriloquist Creeper” Storyboard Rendition of Scenes Not Filmed, Two Photo Galleries, and a Theatrical Trailer! ::phew:: All that is crammed into one DVD! MGM always does put alot of good features into there DVD's and this one is no exception. So check it out on December 23rd....and pray that you aren't his next meal!

First it was the night, now some big shot has gone into the dawn and we have pics!!!

What you see before you is not pictures from Resident Evil: Apocolyspe, instead it is from the remake to George A. Romero's classic horror film, "Dawn of the Dead" The trailer could be seen before Gothika and it doesn't look that bad, but for a remake to a classic....need I remind you what happened with TCM remake where they basically went for brainless plot and bouncing tits. This looks like it might be heading in the right direction but who knows? I mean, the original was a classic and you can't beat the classic but if Tom Savini has a cameo....it can't be all that bad. 

Also, Dawn has been rated R for "Zombie Violence and more" and let's hope, and pray, it's the kind of "zombie violence" that we saw in the original. It is set to be released March 2004, and I am hoping I get lots of limbs flying every which way, and of course, one of my favs, DECAPITATION BY HELICOPTER!!! We will keep you updated!

Thats right folks, word is that the fever is coming back! Cabin Fever 2 is in the works supposedly. RUmor has it that they are planning on making the sequel very soon. BUt for us who can't wait, the DVD comes out January 20th...

    Killer KLowns was made back in the 80's and now the long awaited sequel looks like it will become reality. After the Chido brothers went in to talk with MGM about the sequel, word is things were looking very good for the film, they had a second meeting which can only mean they are interested...lets hope!!!

    And finally, after all these years, the doll is back. Universal finally got its shit together and decided to give the go ahead with "Seed of Chucky" the 5th installment in the Child's Play franchise. Word is Jennifer TIlly will be returning and this time...Chuck will become the abusive father we all know he can be!

Helloween on Halloween and more remakes confirmed...

Not this halloween folks, next Halloween, Dimension films has said to be releasing "Helloween" there answer to Freddy Vs. Jason. yes and it is scheduled to be released...production I don't think has even started and already they have a release date...yeah...can we say "RUSHED" Project but what else can you expect from Dimensions films?

    How about another remake? Yes they are remaking Amityville Horror and God help them if they try to have Amityville Horror Vs. The Haunting cause I will have to shove my boot all up in there ass if they do! Also on the remake plate, it is confirmed that HOUSE OF WAX will be Dark Castle's latest remake to be released next Halloween. Word is it MAY be in 3-d and let's hope so. House of the Dead brings out the worst in people...

I think that it really does...not only was the movie bad....but it must bring out the hatred and rage in the audiance. This happened opening weekend in the theatre I go to in Randolph. During a showing of House of the Dead, a fellow movie-goer left his cell phone on. It then goes off during the movie...now usually people just mumble or even yell a word and then slouch into there seat. Well not this other movie-goer...he doesn't slouch at all...no...instead he pulls out a knife, turns around and stabs the guy in the foot. I mean can you really blame the guy!? HOTD really seems to bring the worst out in people...and here is the kicker...the showing I went to, was the one RIGHT BEFORE the one where this happened in!!! And I thought those kids next to me were bad...Sheesh! 

Queen of the Damned fan takes movie to seriously...

As reported on Creature-Corner.com, a man in England took his love for the movie "Queen of the damned" to far. Allan Menzies, a ex-security officer killed his best friend thomas McKendrick, drank his blood, and ate a portion of his brain! Now when he was caught, he gave this as his reason in his testamony. Allan claims that Queen of the Damned was some sort of inspiration and that Akasha visited him promising eternal life if he carried out the murder. INSPIRATION!?!? SEEN OVER 100 TIMES!?!?!? This guy had to be fucking nuts if he actually re-watched that piece of shit!!! he now stands trial in England and hopefully...will be killed in prison. What a fucking nutcase....I CANT BELIEVE IT!!! 30 TIMES HE SAW IT IN THEATRES!!!! Geez! What is this world COMING TO!?!?!?!?

The fans say no no, but Dimension Films says yes yes!

As voted on the halloween website, the fans have spoken and they do not want there white faced baby stalker going up against hell's own needle faced bad guy. Rumor's were floating around that Dimension Films was going to make a film called "HELLOWEEN" which would pit up Hellraiser's Pinhead and Halloween's Michael Myers up in a major brawl as what happened in Freddy Vs. Jason. But turns out the fans don't want these 2 to collide, will Diimension films listen to the fans what, with a whopping 55 percent saying "No"? Only time will tell and I will be the first to let you know!

THe battle rages on for at least 2 more sequels

After UNderworld came in at number 1 last weekend, the execs didn't waste anytime in signing the director Les Wiesman and writer on to do 1 sequel, and one prequel. No word as to if Kate will be dawning the tight leather skin suit again but we can all only hope and pray for it. Read the review I posted for UNDERWORLD and also, check out the movie itself for it is alot better then one would expect. I will keep you updated as the news progresses!

When will the madness stop?

There comes a time when cocksucking assholes that can't get an original idea go to far....some say it was with the slew of remakes of films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Thing mini-series remake, or even the rumored "Exorcist". But now they have just gone to fucking far...word is...they are going to remake the greatest Slasher of all time! John Carpenter's Halloween is being remade "RUMORED ONLY" but even still...this is the shit that is being thought up. Dimensions films is trying to get John Carpenter to write and direct an updated version of his classic film for they feel, the youth are deprived of the classic. DEPRIVED!?!?? GO TO THE FUCKING VIDEO STORE AND RENT IT!!!!! I have no sympathy for those idiots to fucking lazy to rent a movie that doesn't have Jennifer love Hewitt or Jamie Kennedy in it...sorry....rent it! Stop the remaking and stop the madness...I am so disgusted I could spit! URGE!!!!

Three's Company star dies along with country legend Johnny Cash

They say they go in 3's, and they are being proven right yet again. John Ritter, who sky rocketed to stardom and won an emmy with the hit Tv Show "Three's Company" died last night. He had a rip in his aorta and caused sudden death, he was rushed to the hospital while rehearsing at the ABC studio for his show "8 simple Rules for dating my Teenage daughter" he died shortly after with his family beside him. He was only 54 and leaves his wife and sons behind. While the fate of "8 Simple Rules" is unknown at this point, ABC released a statement expressing sorrow over Ritter's death. It did not, however, indicate whether his TV series would continue.

also, legendary singer Johnny Cash, who peeked with his fame in the 60's and 70's, having just lost his wife 4 short weeks ago, died of Diabetes related illness. He was 71, he had been rushed to the hospital, causing him to miss his award at the MTV Music awards but was released. He was sent back and this time...he didn't make it. Johnny Cash will be greatly missed for he was a legend in the music INdustry.

The return to filming of "Return to Sleepaway Camp"

Word is that it's official, that there will be a part 4 to Sleepaway camp and no, it will NOT have Lil' Bow wow. A while back rumors spread like an epidemic that a part 4 was in the works but no offical word was given. Now there is proof that it will happen and that casting begins for it in Pennsylvania. 

    Now, before you start jumping for joy...there is yet again, MORE bad news....what is the worst thing that they could do to this movie? Put in a rapper or maybe a porn star I mean Eve? No. Or maybe its by making it pg-13....well your getting close....what would you say if I told you it was going to be "PG"...yeah cause word is that is the rating they are going for...now I am taking this with a grain of salt cause they also said the TCM remake would be pg-13....and it's rated r. So...I shall keep you posted.

Charles Bronson has given his last Death Wish

I have some sad news for you folks, Last night, Saturday, August 30th, Charles Bronson past away from Pneumonia at age 81. Bronson had been in the hospital for a few weeks now struggling but hanging in there...he was best known for his character Paul Kersey in the film that gave him Marquee treatment at age 51 "Death Wish" He would go on to make 4 more of them, and made over a hundred movies in his career. He was one of my favorite actors, a inspiration to me for I grew up watching him with my Dad by my side, watching him kick the shit out of muggers and scum alike. Charles will be deeply missed by everyone....there will never be another person like him...

Death and Hell has come to your little town Sheriff...

With Freddy Vs. Jason topping the box Office 2 weekends in a row and collecting more then 62 million dollars in the process, Dimensions Films has decided to jump on the band wagon. Thats right, Creature-corner.com reports (picture is from there site as well) Dimension's big horror series Halloween and there now Direct to Video series (*of which they can't seem to make a DECENT sequel to ) Hellraiser are in the talks for a match up. "Helloween" will be it's name and it is pitting the 2 icons up against each other. 

    Will it be better then Freddy Vs. Jason? Highly doubtful, it has ALOT to live up. Freddy Vs. Jason was the first to combine 2 recent horror icons in the same film, now all the companies will jump on the band wagon. SO to make Helloween not just some cheesy rip off, they will have lots of work to do.

    But this is a very serious thing, unlike the Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash thing, which is turning out to be a bunch of bullshit, this is very serious and is in fact being made. It was supposed to be made a while back and the idea was brought up to Dimensions as well as the poster art shown above (which I personally think kicks ass) Let's hope Dimensions doesn't just try to make a buck from this and actually makes it FOR the fans...which is not a thing Dimension films tends to due...they tend to lean over to the teenie bopper crowd and say fuck the horror fans that brought the series' to where they are today. Anyway...I shall keep you updated!

Good, Bad, I',m the guy who's gonna kick Freddy and Jason's ass!

For those of you who are wondering what that is supposed to mean, it's simple. New Line supposedly has plans on making FvJ into a franchise but the word is...The next one may be...Freddy VS Jason VS Ash! Yeah...Freddy and Jason team up to kick the Zombie ass kickers ass or at least try. This idea is NOT set in stone yet but it is an idea floating around the studio. It's nice to see that they are actually thinking of good Ol' Ash but will Bruce Campbell really be wanting to do this? Will Sam give New Line the ok? Only time can tell but Time is all we have!

2 more Remakes that are nothing like the originals...*sigh*

William Castle's cult classic House of wax is being remade but unlike the original chances are leaning towards regular 2d instead of the wonderful world of 3d./The original starred the late Vincent price and also was one of the early films of Charles Bronson who went by the name of Charles Brushinsky at the time.

    Also the Ring 2 has acquired a release date which is November 12th, 2004. Naomi Watts has signed on to do part 2 so thats a plus. But the negative is that word is, they are not following the japanese sequel to "ringu" and yet....are combining parts 2 and 0 in this american version.
