Review of the Warrior Accelerator

8/17/01

When you saw this article you probably said the Warrior what? And proceeded to click the link out of curiosity. The truth is, even though I generally don't like Warrior equipment (just a personal thing) this stick is great for the money it costs. It is one of the few remaining mid priced (that means below $70). You can get it strung for Queen City Lacrosse for about $60. Don't let the price fool you, this is one heck of a stick. Offset, mildly pinched, only problem is its a bit flimsy. Trust me I took a few faceoffs with it and mine is permanantly bent. But, string it up with a power v and you've got one great stick. Now lets examine the particulars of it a little more.
Scoop
This is a great middie stick (not a faceoff middie, just a regular middie). Its got a wide scoop that makes ground balls a breeze.
Throat
Like I said before, it's pretty well pinched. Not too much, though. Just how most people like it. Its pretty accurate with a power v or traditional.
Sidewall
What I think is the only caveat (bad thing). Its not the best sidewall ever, and bends about 3 differant ways when you squeeze it.
Overall, I think if you want a good stick that doesn't cost a whole lot, keep in mind that I don't recommend this for faceoff middies or defenseman, but if your a middie or attackmen, this is a great stick to have.

Note: Pics for this and the other reviews will be up soon.
