The STX Excalibur 2 (X2)
The STX X2. Im sure you have all heard of it, and rightfully so. This stick should be in the lacrosse stick hall of fame with the other legends, the excalibur, edge, and those others that bring back memories of the old days. This stick is strong enough to stand up to repeated checking both being given out and received, yet accurate enough to hit the top corner with ease. A great stick for all positions, faceoff middies included. This bad boy can take anything, well, almost anything. Its only caveat: cost. It will go for about $70 on Queen City Lacrosse. Anyway, let's look at a few particulars.
Sidewall
The classic trestle I-beam is back. This thing kicked butt on the Excalibur, and it is even more so on the X2. Granted, it doesn't look as 'cool' as some other sidewalls, but I personally prefer strength over 'coolness'.
Scoop
Another biggie that was on the Proton, the scoop design. STX took out some of the unnecessary plastic and made it lighter. Maybe only .5 of a ounce lighter, but it was still a good idea.
In general, I would recommend this stick to anyone who wants a good stick. And if your a goalie who tries this stick out in a game, send me pictures and I will devote a section to you, titled "things not to do".

Note: Pics for this review and all others will be up soon.
