Left Friday afternoon meeting up with Mick & Dunny on route arrived at our digs around 6:30pm. 10 flights of stairs later and we were having a cuppa in our flash attic room. A quick change and off we went to the Pavilion, which was the main setting for the weekend ahead. The room soon filled up and by 10pm it was heaving. THE REPERTOIRE DOGS took to the stage approx 11pm and played a brilliant mixed set, the disco continued into the night. Awoke to glorious sunshine but no time for resting (women’s duty and all that) I cooked breakfast for the boys. I persuaded the others to accompany me to the Charity shops but a dozen of Scooterists  (Fetish and co and Lenny and her lot) had already beaten us. As we walk through the town we saw Hammy & co in the van looking very lost so I jumped in (followed by Dean who had to help Mick (bless) in the back) Thinking we’d got a lift back up to the pavilion for the parts fair, (Now Rag & Teach it will make sense what happened) Wrong we ended up on a detour to the abbey camp site. But not before going to the wrong camp site and the van pulling on to the only bit of  soft ground around for miles, so stuck for a hour trying every thing from bit’s of paper  to Richs best top under the wheels A nice man came on his tractor and pulled the van out. After taking in the scenery it was back to the parts fair by taxi. Around 15 stalls and 30 scooters entered and the place was heaving. Dean went off to watch footie watch left me in a 2-hour search For him. After a kip we left once again for the evening do. 8:30 And it was already crowded. Skaville played a crackin line up as usual and once again the disco went well into the night, we left around 3am in search of food, a pizza & kebab and off 2 bed. Sunday morning and me and dean set off for the local car boot (should have stayed in bed). Arrived back in time to video ride out approx 85-100 scooters rode to heart beat land. Went with Mick in the lammy cav and it broke the day up nicely, brought Dawn from Burton Brewers back with us and went to the met bar. We had planned to watch “All Mod Cons “ but went to the Angel pub (which was took over by scooterist for the weekend). Had a wonder around the shops and then off to get ready for our last night. Went to local pub for a quickie and then off to the Do, many had gone home but approx 300 still remained. To sum up Whitby rally in my words would be, Hilly, steps and aching muscles’ but excellent company ie Dean Mick and Dunny excellent friends new and old, a bit pricey (could have done with the weekend pass thing) but a very well planned and organized event,
