| We must always fear the wicked. But there is another kind of evil that we must fear the most, and that is the indifference of good men. |

Some of you might be wondering why the hell I haven't been updating my blog. Well, the reason why is because I have a livejournal now, and so I write most of my stuff there. This I've lately reserved for more serious stuff. But I'll try to update this blog when I update my LJ from now on. My username, by the way, is secret_base. I'm currently pretty much deep in the fandom of League of the Extraordinary Gentlemen. Both the movie and comics. Feel free to leave comments on my LJ. :D |

I have finally found a good SL. I am very very glad. How glad? I've been staying up until around 3 AM every night to roleplay. Yeah, obsessed much? I play Bobby and also an original character named Shizune in there. 's fun. Bobby gets to be an idiot, and Shizune gets to freak over several unexpected events. Heh. I know a few people in the SL, too. Kenny, Aaron, and Jamie. Okay, so they all joined after me...but hey. They're there. That's all that matters. I've gotten to know the others too. Especially Matt 'n Red. Oh, by the way, the SL is for AOL, and it's called X-Men: Vicissitudes. We've slowed on taking applications, since we've been getting so many, but still taking them. If you're a Colossus, Magneto, or Xavier, we're looking for you. Okay, end advertisement. XD |

Finally, I got a Livejournal courtesy of Jamie giving me a code. Whee! I've been wanting to get one, since there's a lot of LJ communities I've been watching and wanting to participate in. Mostly X-Men related or LOTR related. No surprise there. I've already written three drabbles for the community x_men100. It's fun. XD I've gotten some positive feedback. And I've also been trying to get cool Bobby icons. Jamie's been a great help in that field. Love ya, Jamie. <3 And those of you who are thinking, "Huh? You're thanking yourself? Do you have a split personality?", Jamie is an online roleplaying friend of mine. We call her Jamie. Notice: Not JAIME. So yeah, we spell our names differently. So thus she is not some twisted split personality of mine. >D Anyway, go to my LJ and read the drabbles! C'mon, you know you can't resist the temptation... |

I went to see X2 on Friday after school with Christa and Tristen. It was pretty good, despite my hate for Jean Gray. Okay, just so you know, there'll be spoliers as I speak of the movie. The best thing about X2. Nightcrawler. Ohmygod. So very good. The German, the whole look, oh yeah... I mean, he's not as perky as he is in Evolution, but that's cool. He's so adorable. The effects of his teleportation is good too. I wanted more Bobby ( Iceman ), Marie ( Rogue ), and John ( Pyro ), though. Really, I thought Bobby and Pyro'd do more. And Rogue didn't do much this time, either. But I did like the Bobby/Rogue moments more than I expected to. They were sweet. Cyclops wasn't in the movie that much. He got kidnapped by Stryker. :p And all the while Jean flirts with Logan ( Wolverine ). >/ Damn bitch. Storm, on the other hand, got more action this time. Yey! And she had little cute moments with Nightcrawler. Aww. About Deathstriker...um, what to say. She had about one line. Well, and the little fighting noises when she fought Wolverine. They don't even tell you her name in the movie. And...she dies this grusome death. I really don't know what to comment on this character. Magneto is back! Mwahaha! I love how he breaks out of his plastic prison. So awesome. I've taken a liking to Mystique in this movie, too. Kinda felt sorry for her, in a way. Oh, did I mention there was some Logan/Mystique action too? DEATH TO JEAN GRAY! Yes, you heard me. She dies. Sorry folks, but I was internally squealing when she died. My Jean-hate grew as I watched X2, because, god...she kinda godmodes. Really. I was like, okay, she suddenly becomes more powerful than Professor X. ...Yeah. Right. I mean, I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be in the comics, but...I really couldn't care less. But Jean's probably coming back as the Phoenix in the third movie. They hinted it at the end of the movie. On another note: I am now hooked on X-Men slash. Yes, you heard me. Mostly Logan/Scott things. Currently reading this really long series. I've also read some slash with Pyro, Bobby, and Nightcrawler, too. Power to slash! XD |

Whee. I haven't updated this site in a while. That would be because I now currently have a Japanese website I'm trying to take care of. :D I update that at least once a week. It's like, the requirement of having a Japanese site. It's basically a site centered on fanfiction and so on, the main genre being Lord of the Rings. There's also other random movies and anime stuff that I write for, too. So far, I have 6 fanfics. If you want to visit, it's here: abnormality. It's all in Japanese, though. List of things to do: Fill out application for Nira's new RPG So much to do...so little time. @.@; Oh yeah, I didn't get to update this site for Sean Bean's b-day, since I was so busy writing a birthday fic on my Japanese site! Oh well. I still love him. <3 |

After trying to draw several times and failing miserably at all attempts, I have to come to this conclusion: I can't draw to save my life. ;-; Okay, so that isn't entirely true. I can draw stick figures and similar figures. I can draw inanimate objects like swords. I just can't draw good people! Gah. Sucks. Lately, I've been looking for multiple LotR icons on LJ. And I found this one with lyrics that I found interesting. So I thought I'd share. Here you stand seething with guilt.
Did you ever see that one person
CHOKING
I can give you freedom from your guilt,
This is your freedom in a life of fallacy,
Here you stand seething with guilt.
Cry for you.
Cry for you.
Mourn wish the end.
Did you ever look, did you ever see that one person,
- Short Stories with Tragic Endings by Autumn to Ashes Personally, I've never heard the song before. I could if my computer was working properly, but it isn't, so...>/ But I do like the lyrics. |

I just finished watching "Bravo Two Zero." I burrowed this movie because a) it had Sean Bean in it and b) it was about the Gulf War with the whole Sadam Hussein lot. Let me say, in advance, that I do not recommend this movie if you cannot take violence, nudity, physical torture, mental torture, crude humor, and gore. It is a real down to earth movie and can be very sickening at times. Also, they will probably be spoilers here, since I plan to talk about the movie right now. First off, this is a movie centered around eight soldiers, with Andy McNab ( Sean Bean ) as the leader. It starts off light and all right. You meet the soldiers and their families, get to know how they are a little and such. Then things get not so funny when they get a mission ( which was to cut fiberoptic cables that were used to command some automated missiles or something ) and have to carry it out, in the middle of Iraq. ...Although I do like the "shiny thing" comment when they're packing. Even when they are in Iraq, hiding, all seems to be well until a stray little shepard boy accidentally discovers them. From there, all goes downhill. At first, they're doing pretty good for eight versus and army. But when hard weather strikes and a command to stop isn't passed on, the group of eight divides into a group of five and three. Naturally, the story follows the group of five, with Andy in it. They continue fighting until one by one, they become separated, and finally we see Andy captured. It's not so bad, actually, when he first gets captured. Sure, he gets blindfolded, knocked around a bit, and has to eat from a bowl dog-style, but that's nothing compared to what's in waiting. He and the guy he had last separated with get taken to the Secret Police Prison or something like that. This is where it gets really ugly. You repeatedly witness torture scenes involving mainly Andy, and if you thought his beating upon first capture was bad...this makes it look like gymnastics. Not only is he physically beaten, but also mentally. Several men attend the torture sessions, have food, drinks, wear nice suits...as if they were at social meeting. I'm not going into detail about the tortures, though. Go watch it if you want to know. In the end, yes, they do get to go back to the UK. If they hadn't, this story would never be here today, since it is based on a true story told by the men. Yet only five of the eight men returned in the end. After watching this movie, the whole notion of having another war with Saddam, or with anyone for that matter, makes me sick. Disgusted by the idea. If this is fiction, I have to wonder, than what was it really like? How much more awful and cruel could it have been? Really, if you think the right thing for America to do right now is go to war, watch this movie. Watch "Bravo Two Zero." You might not be so thrilled about war after you do. Even though we are not soldiers, we must understand that there is always a possibility that we might become, by necessity, soldiers. |

Just watched Boston Public all the way through for the first time. And yes, I'll be talking about it so if you haven't seen it yet and are planning to, then maybe you shouldn't read this because there's gonna be spoliers. Okay, anyway, this episode revolves around the American Idol girl from Georgia, a 12-year-old genius girl, and the issue of being homosexual. Personally, I really didn't care for the American Idol girl. She's good, so whoot. More power to her. But the other two topics I had interest in. I kinda could empathize with the 12-year-old, since at that age, I was pretty much a loner and more mature than the average 12-year-old. It may sound you know, pessimistic and stuff, but it hurts when you're different. It hurts when you're younger than everyone else, but you're more mature at mind than them. It hurts to understand things that you don't want to at such an early age. But I absolutely loved it when she told the principal's daughter and the guy she has a crush on that they suck and such. So very true. I couldn't stop grinning. Proves why I don't get involved in romantic matters. As for the gay issue, I was irritated at the fact when the vice principal had a meeting for the Gay Straight Alliance, only two gay people showed up. Then again, I guess that's reality. And it really saddens me to watch the assaulted boy's boyfriend not tell of his boyfriend's attacker even when he was guilty of standing there and watching as he was brutally beaten. But I do understand that it takes courage to be openly gay in this world, however flexible it has become from the past. Everytime I see some kind of abuse to people just because of their sexuality, I remember a story I read before. It was about a couple who were having a bad time that warped into a world where being straight was illegal. Then I stop and think, what if the world we lived in were like that? What if being straight was the "wrong" thing? What if someone did that to you because you were straight, and you couldn't understand why because you don't think you're doing anything wrong? Because you don't know what you did to anger them so? Maybe people should think about these things next time before being so cruel to people for who they are. ::Takes a deep breath.:: Okay, I'm done now. Wow, I think that's my longest serious post I've ever written. XD But anyway, I wanted to say that I really liked tonight's episode of Boston Public. |

Whoot! New layout! It's my first non-anime related one too. As much as it sucks... Then again, this is only my third layout. And my layouts always suck. Oh well. Anyway, more about the layout. It's Conner and Murphy MacManus from the movie "The Boondock Saints". One of my favorite movies at the current time, it is. Hot Irish men, damnit. And loads of action. I wish I could make a better layout, but I can't find good pictures. Sad. |
