Can the Lions Improve - That is the big question this season after the lions finished 2-14 with a promising 2 wins towards the end of last season the big question was could the Rams improve for 2002. And currently that answer is no. As they too a 49-21 pounding against the Miami Dolphins. But at least there were 21 points scored. But I think the Lions will improve as our season goes on. Yes we have had a bed start but it was a bad start against a revitalized Miami team with Ricky Williams and a great O-line that can only mean lots off scores and when you have got Jay Fielder there if need to throw. The Miami team is pretty good, So there is nothing to be ashamed of about losing to the Phins. The next game is against the 1-0 Carolina Panthers who had an equally bad season last year and who only won 10-7 on Sunday against the 200 champions Baltimore. So it should be an interesting game. But one of the Lions main problems is that Mike McMahon has got rookie Joey Harrington breathing down his neck now he has been promoted to back up. So if Mike slips up then Joey is going to be in there the way I see it. I hope not because Mike is a good guy who will be a great QB he just needs tog et into it. it should be an evenly matched game on Sunday and the Lions will do better this season.....hopefully.
