Aristo - The ruling class of Lorna.
Aristo House - The bloodline of a particular Aristo. Runs through the blood of the female.
Bonded - Anyone, human or Keltoi, who is bonded with a member of an opposing species. Someone who has enhanced psychic abilities. See the History and Information section for more.
Bondfolk - the Bonded inhabitants of the Hall.
Bondhall - Formerly the home of all the Bondfolk, currently an outpost and base in the heart of Lorna. Unique.
Bonding - the connection between a Kelti-Gra and a Keltoi which allows the Kelti-Gra to have enhanced abilities (depending on thier bondmate: i.e. a human bonded with a Leopard would have enhanced fighting abilities) such as telepathy and empathy.
Bondpair - A bonded pair of Kelti-Gra and Keltoi.
Caninepair - A bondpair consisting of a Wolf & a Lupe.
Circuit - The eight Seasons (2 years) that a Travelgroup is traveling around Lorna helping people, healing people, and serving as a judge.
Dragonpair - A bondpair consisting of a Wyvern & a Drake.
Drake* - A Kelti-Gra whose skills lay in Healing. Nearly Always Feamle
Eagle* - An Avian Keltoi. Usually Male. Two Legged, Two Winged. Usually perches on thier bondmate's shoulder or arm, or flying above. Their shared quarters usually contain a small eyrie.
Empathy - The ability to feel the emotions of others.
Eyrien* - A Kelti-Gra whose skills lay in Scouting.
Falconpair - A bondpair consisting of an Eagle & an Eyrien.
Felinepair - A bondpair consisting of a Leopard & a Landen.
Guildfolk ^ - The Bonded's dependents, trained crafters with the knowledge of the ages. They became under the Bonded's protection when the Aristos tried to restrict them and rule them. Thier membership is subject to Drake approval.
Isle - Current home of the Bonded and their dependants. A moderately large island off the east of Lorna.
Kelti-Gra - A human capable of bonding.
Keltoi - An animal capable of bonding. Also capable of telepathy and empathy, among other specifics.
Landen* - A Kelti-Gra whose skills lay in Fighting. Usually Male
Leave - The two non-consecutive Seasons (0.5 year) that a Travelgroup is not Posted or on Circuit. Their time off.
Leopard* - A Feline Keltoi. Usually Female. Lithe, powerful, and graceful. Colors range from spotted to full black.
Lorna - The continent that humans inhabit.
Lupe* - A Kelti-Gra whose skills lay in Diplomacy. Usually Male. Often the "leader" of a Bondpair, especially in social situations.
LQ - Living Quarters
Moontime - A woman's period
Posting - The six Seasons (1.5 year) that a Travelgroup is placed at the capitol city of an Aristo House. Thier actual "posting" is the actual city. This word can be used in either context.
Shrine - A rememberance place particular to the particular types of bondpairs.
Telepathy - The ability to project thoughts onto others.
Teleportation Discs - ('Ports) Discs that, when programmed, allow you to go anywhere there is another disc.
The Hall Gardens - The gardens where the deceased Keltoi and Kelti-Gra are burried.
Trading Marks - ('Marks) This worlds money. The equivilant of an IOU that can be used anywhere.
Travelgroup - A group of 4 Bondpairs [Caninepair, Falconpair, Felinepair, Dragonpair] who travel together, work together and live together. The members of thier travelgroup are the only people that a Keltoi can speak to telepathically without effort.
Wolf* - A Canine Keltoi. Usually Male. Four-legged with a coloration ranging from white to black but usually in the grayish area.
Wyvern* - A Draconic Keltoi able to do magic. Eagle Sized, with two wings two legs and a prehensile tail. Either Male or Female
