Rules of House Raina:
Path of the Eternal Battle

Succession is through the right of death which means that when one aristo kills another, the survivor gets the rank and any related possessions including authority over the surviving family. The widow, any unwed daughters and any children under 16 unless they already have attained a rank through right of death become wards of the new Lord. All children will address their new guardian and his wife, should he have one, as Father and Mother, formally severing their ties to their birth parents' lines. In case of accidental death, normal succession rules apply. Survival after succession is far from guaranteed.

Those who break those most sacred guidelines shall find themselves the enemy of all Raina. Pregnant women will be allowed to give birth before being executed.

1: Do not needlessly harm a lower ranking Raina, a child under 16, a non-Raina or a woman without EXTREMELY good reason or unless they have struck first.
2: Women do not follow the Path of the Eternal Battle which means that they do not kill, or get killed, unless they take or attempt to take someone's life.
3: Do not under ANY circumstances poison food that is destined to more than one person.
4: Poisoning water is off limits, both in drinking, and swimming. The great library, meeting room and dining room in any Raina estate are also off limits to the Path of the Eternal Battle except through poisoning. A Lord may designate further safe areas and will make sure that everyone knows those areas are safe. Not knowing is, thus, not an excuse.
5: Under the vow of secrecy, all members of house Raina swear to never reveal knowingly the ways of the Raina to anyone not of the house.

The rules, of course, do not apply to the bonded except for the Vow of secrecy.
