Summary:

The death of a young woman leads Grissom and Catherine to investigate the underground world of Los Vegas fetish clubs. When the body of an attractive woman is found naked in a sandbox, Grissom and Catherine are called to investigate the cause of death. Due to the whip and ligature marks on her body, the team initially assumes that the crime was violent, but with further investigation it is discovered that the victim worked at an underground fetish club. Meanwhile, Warrick and Sara are called to a crime scene to investigate a shooting, which initially appears to have taken place during a robbery.

MARG HELGENBERGER found this episode particularly "fascinating...Actors always try to live through other people. And this is a world that I personally haven't visited before."

"There's a documentary going around [the set] about a club in New York called Pandora's Box, and I found it riveting," the star added. "They interviewed the dominatrix, who said that it was more about psychology. Naive me thought it involved sex. Most of the time, it doesn't."

C Notes:

Catherine has a mutual respect for the Headmistress and inquires about her finances.

Catherine's Mother's advice, "Cash up front."

Head mistress tells Cat she'd make a great dominatrix.

Catherine believes that her relationship with Grissom is healthy.

Cat Quote:
"If there's one thing you learn on this job, is that human beings are capable of anything."
"Just because you haven't done it doesn't mean you couldn't!"

No one eats during this ep.
