Johnny Spade vs. Mark Jindrak
DARK MATCH

This being Mark Jindrak's first match back in Davis Arena since his recent injury, and actually went fairly well. He seems to be a lot better then before, in his match tonight with Spade. Jindrak opened up the offense on Spade with a big atomic drop, followed by a series of dropkicks. The more experienced Spade, although took Jindrak down face first into the ropes, with a very nice Drop toe hold, and went on to chop the chest of Jindrak.
The crowd erupted into a huge "Johnny Sucks" chant, insulting the Revolution member, which really seemed to agitate him. Jindrak eventually reversed the much smaller Spade off the ropes and delivered a very nice Bulldog Slam, which was followed by a two count. Eventually after Jindrak made his way up to the ring apron, after being thrown outside, Mark picked up the pinfall with an over the top rope sunset flip to Spade.

Mark Jindrak vs. Ch. The Prototype
REF: Donna Derring

Before returning to live action, there's a video review of last week's tag match of Flash & Trailer Park Trash vs. Bull Buchanan & Big Bad John, the latest event in another ongoing, red-hot feud in OVW!  Back in the ring, Prototype still hasn't left as Mark Jindrak and referee Donna Derring are in place for the Jindrak-John match.  Finally they let him speak, and the crowd, who's been all over his case since he came out earlier, lets him know they'd DEFINITELY "rather see this punk (Jindrak) wrestle than to hear me talk!"   That doesn't set well with the huge Jindrak, who then gets in Prototype's face, saying he'll face him right now!  So with Big Bad John nowhere in sight, and the OVW Champ willing to face Jindrak instead, ref Derring calls for the bell and they're on!

Prototype opens with hard fists; Jindrak misses a clothesline but is back with hard, power moves of his own!  Prototype reverses an Irish whip then goes to a  splash in the corner! The the 6' 7" Jindrak leaps onto the rope and flies off like a cruiserweight, downing the Champ into a 2 count!  Prototype roars back with a BIG flying bulldog that takes the bigger man down, then he's on the offense again.  More than just trying to show up Jindrak, he's using Jindrak to take his spite out on as he's got to be still madder than hell over the Ric Flair announcement!  At one point he hits the larger Jindrak so hard he spins him around!  Arrogant as he is, Prototype is very effective once he focuses on his match, and just runs Jindrak ragged from pillar to post while occasionally taking a few seconds to trash-talk the capacity crowd!  It's only Jindrak's stamina that keeps him kicking out pinfall after pinfall.  After a HUGE European upper cut, Prototype still can't pin Jindrak even by putting nearly his whole weight on him and this persistence just makes him even madder!   However, sensing imminent victory nonetheless, he mocks the "Flair strut" then slaps a figure-four leglock on Jindrak!

Suddenly, here come David Flair to ringside, taunting Prototype with "Whoo!" chants and a "Flair strut" of his own!   Proto breaks the hold on Jindrak to confront Flair, but the distraction gives Jindrak the big break he needs to grab the Champ by the top of his trunks, pulling him down (and the trunks --oops!) into a rollup for a 3-count victory!!   Mark Jindrak, just like David Flair a few weeks ago, has scored his first OVW singles' win ON PROTOTYPE, who was undefeated in singles' matches UNTIL Flair beat him!!!  The crowd goes WILD as Jindrak rolls out and Flair raises his hand in a victory that's probably about as sweet to him as was his own!    WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!  How is THIS going to effect the OVW Champion in the upcoming weeks????  Oh, lawd - could he BE any more angry!!!??

Mark Jindrak vs. The Prototype

One of the better matches of the night, with Jindrak starting with the upper hand on the "Perfect Man" delivering two good dropkicks to Prototype. The standing room only crowd was all over Prototype chanting "Homotype" at the top of their lungs. Prototype eventually gained some control after drilling Jindrak's head into the turnbuckle and delivering a snap suplex followed moments later by a good stalling suplex. Prototype then had Jindrak down and signaled for the Figure Four. I could hear Jim Cornette in the commentator's booth talking about how Prototype reminded him of a young Ric Flair, being cocky and all. David Flair then came ringside once the move was locked on doing old Ric Flair taunts directing them at Prototype who seemed to be a bit heated. Prototype then stood up looking at Flair and Jindrak reached up behind him and pulled off the schoolboy rollup and the three count giving Prototype his second singles defeat since joining OVW.

Mark Jindrak vs. Sean O'Haire
DARK MATCH

Believe it or not, this was actually a good
in ring wrestling match, and I must say it was
the best match that I've seen from these two since
their arrival at OVW. O'Haire dominated most of
the match starting with many arm holds on Jindrak
towards the beginning. Throughout the entire
match the two traded very big power moves but
two counts kept prevailing. Jindrak even kicked
out at the count of two to O'Haires finishing
manuever. Jindrak pulled off a very nice
Lionsault towards the end of the match, but
missed. The match came to an end as Jindrak
pulled off the small package out of nowhere
and picked up the quick three count and the win.

Mark Jindrak vs. Payne
DARK MATCH

The match got off to the typical dark match start. Payne
wanted to go for the test of strength but kept switching
hands when Jindrak attempted. Jindrak then decided to
pull a stunt of his own, once Payne reached for his hand
he pulled it higher and higher until Payne could not reach,
and was forced to jump but still failed, funny stuff.
Payne eventually gained the upperhand by throwing Jindrak
out of the ring. Once Jindrak was back in the ring, Payne
threw him into the corner. He then went for the school boy
and using his legs on the ropes for leverage, picked up
the three count and the victory.

Winner via pinfall Payne

Non-Title Match:
Ch. Leviathan w/Synn vs. Mark Jindrak
REF: Donna Derring

The young, strong Jindrak has a lot going for him - but tonight he's up against one of the most awesome competitors in pro wrestling today.   Leviathan's only two career pinfall losses have been to no less than the WWF's KANE and Val Venis!  In the opening of the match, Leviathan's got all the offense as he starts early on weakening Jindrak with hard body shots and huge slams into the turnbuckles.  Jindrak makes a couple of attempts to turn the tide by trying to catch Leviathan off guard, but the Demon is simply too overpowering with moves like a devastating clothesline!  A big boot to follow up gets the Champion a 2-count.   Jindrak gets a break when he pulls the top rope down, sending Leviathan to the outside via his own momentum as he runs across the ring.   Jindrak then presses his advantage both outside then inside the ring with some very agile yet hard-hitting moves.   An attempted DDT (nearly foiled by the Demon) gets Jindrak a 2-count pinfall.   He then goes to the ground with a sleeper hold - Leviathan powers out but Jindrak keeps the upper hand until Leviathan hits a HUGE spinebuster!  A spear from hell then a "DemonBomb" spells the end for Jindrak (in a good effort) as Leviathan gets the 3-count pinfall victory!

Mark Jindrak vs. Leviathan w/ Synn
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH

The match got off to a pretty decent start, with Jindrak taking some of the upperhand and the start with a drop toe hold. It's not too often that Leviathan's opponents have a good upperhand on him, and just as usual this upperhand didn't last too long. Leviathan came back and pummeled Jindrak as well as delivering a huge boot to the face, but only pulling off a two count. Jindrak gained somewhat off an advantage again after pulling the ropes down as the "Demon" was running towards the ropes making him fly right over them down to the floor. Eventually Leviathan made the comeback delivering a big spinebuster followed by his spear. Leviathan then set up Jindrak for his finisher the Powerbomb and drove Jindrak down to the canvas hard for the pinfall and the win.

Mark Jindrak vs. Payne
DARK MATCH

Overall a decent match with Payne dominating the majority of the match. Jindrak did pull off a powerslam and an armdrag at the beginning, but basically went downhill from there. Most of the match Payne utilized the ropes to make the illegal choke to Jindrak which was barely broken up by the ref. The match ended as Payne picked up the rollup and put his feet on the ropes to secure the pinfall.

Winner via pinfall Payne

Mark Jindrak vs. Big Bad John
DARK MATCH

This was an OK match, but very sloppy. The two started
off going back and forth at it in the ring, trading a few reversals to some big moves. The match was fairly
short. Mark Jindrak went for a spring board move
after jumping to the top rope but once in the air was
caught by Big Bad John who attempted to deliver a
chokeslam but failed and was dropkicked right in the
face by Jindrak who then picked up the pinfall and
the win.

Prototype w/Kenny Bolin vs. Mark Jindrak
REF: Donna Derring

As the match starts, Basham and Victoria are again seen in Davis Arena, this time taking inventory behind the concession stand, endearing themselves to no one.  Jindrak starts this one very aggressively, with a BIG burst of offense on Prototype, almost pinning him in the first minute!  From there it goes into see-saw momentum between the two big men, a hard, physical match almost too fast to call!   Great athleticism from both guys!   Prototype seems to an edge on maybe having Jindrak well-scouted; perhaps he feels he can avoid some of Jindrak's offense that way as he's determined to get to OVW Title contender status.  His own offense is intense, as at one point he Irish whips Jindrak so hard that he falls down and soon gets a couple of 2-count pinfalls.  You see fatigue starting to set in as the match's intensity begins taking its toll on both men - Jindrak still manages a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a 2-count late in the game, but Prototype wins with a sidewalk slam!  The whole time, Bolin's been sweating bullets in case he needed ammo to shoot off his big mouth.

Mark Jindrak vs. The Prototype

The match got off to a quick start with Prototype
starting out with some of the upperhand. At the
beginning of the match "Machine" Doug Basham and
"Queen" Victoria were shown once again "inspecting"
the concession stand area. The match was pretty back
and forth, with Jindrak showing some great improvement
since his WCW days. The match ended as Jindrak had
Prototype set up in the corner for a splash but missed
and set Prototype up perfect for his finish, the fall
away side slam, allowing him to pick up the three count.

Big Bad John & Johnny Spade vs. Mark Jindrak & David Flair
REF: Donna Derring

Mark Jindrak and David Flair would get the opportunity to sharpen their skills against two members of the Revolution in tag team action, Big Bad John and Smooth Johnny Spade.  While Spade and John haven't had much opportunity to work together in recent weeks, they show quite a bit of tag team harmony in this match.   They spend most of the bout trying to keep Flair isolated from his partner by having John focus on hard body shots while Spade pulls off the quick moves like DDTs.   But soon Flair is able to tag in Jindrak like a house afire and starts to clear out the ring.  He calls Flair back in to help him, but the official tries to put Flair back outside the ring.  While Derring's back is turned, John, the illegal man,   puts a devastating chokeslam on Jindrak.   He scrambles out of the ring while Spade makes the cover on Jindrak just as Derring is turning around!  Derring makes the count, and the victory goes to The Revolution.

David Flair & Mark Jindrak vs. Johnny Spade & Big Bad John

Jindrak and Spade squared it off in the ring to begin the match to a pretty technically sound start. Big Bad John then hit Spade with the blind tag and delivered a big slam to Jindrak. The match was fairly short with most of Big Bad John's offense being punches and kicks. Eventually Spade was tagged in again but failed to deliver on his Spadeton bomb. The match ended as Big Bad John delivered a choke slam to Jindrak allowing Spade to pick up the pinfall.

Mark Jindrak & David Flair vs. The Disciples of Synn w/Synn & Swail
REF: Ray Ramsey

In his OVW television debut, Jindrak starts off against the veteran Damien, who quickly takes the lead - pounding Jindrak into the corner and whipping him across the ring.  Jindrak avoids the turnbuckle, leaping over Damien and the action rolls into a backdrop.  Flair's tagged in, and the two briefly double-team Damien, and Flair gets a 2-count after his team's double leg-drop.  Flair comes up on offense with fists and chops (whoo! - couldn't resist...) - a rake to the eyes stops him momentarily, but he's back with a boot to the face.   Flair doesn't quite get all of a  chicken wing suplex for another 2-count, then we see a nicely-done vertical suplex!  From the apron, Payne gets involved and Flair turns right into trouble with double-teaming as ref's distracted with Jindrak trying to get in.  Payne finally makes a (legal) tag, and the experience factor of the DoS takes over. They keep Flair isolated and make quick back 'n forth tags - Payne particularly is relentless!   Flair's heart - his desire to win - eventually helps him catch a break, getting a twist-of-fate-type maneuver on Payne, but he can't follow through as the sustained punishment has worn him down.

Finally Flair tags in Jindrak and explodes on the DoS, both using his strength and moving very well for a big man with huge vertical leaps!  The DoS nearly toss him out of the ring via his own momentum, but he hangs on, only to be hammered back down by Payne!    Flair then comes back in on Damien but quickly is double-teamed as Synn attacks Jindrak on the outside.  With a double-team "Sky-Hi" on Flair, victory seems certain for the DoS until Shelton Benjamin comes from out of nowhere with a pool cue attacking the DoS - and the match is thrown out!

David Flair & Mark Jindrak vs. Payne & Damien w/ Synn & Swail

The match started off fairly good with Damien and Jindrak sharing the offense evenly. Eventually Flair was tagged in and showed some impressive team work with Jindrak. The two of them whipped Damien off the ropes and leapfrogged him, followed by
another leapfrog by David Flair allowing Damien to run directly into the massive dropkick by Jindrak. Payne eventually got in the ring and delivered most of the Deciples of Synn's offense and at one point taunting the downed Flair with a giant "WOOOOO!". Very entertaining stuff. The match then came to an abrubt end as Shelton Benjamin came in, dressed in his black leather
clothes similar to last week and took out the Deciples of Synn with a black stick. Drawing the Disqualification.

Winner via DQ Payne & Damien

Mark Jindrak vs. Payne
REF: Ray Ramsey

While David Flair is a singles competitor who was taken out of his element and put into tag team competition, Payne is a tag team competitor taken out of his respectful element this evening and put into singles competition.  But Payne fairs better in his match than did Flair earlier.   Jindrak comes on strong enough at the outset taking early control of the match, but Payne fires back with every illegal trick in the book from boots and fists to chokes and eye gouges.  Jindrak just can't meet Payne's level of aggression in this match and gets dominated by his opponent throughout.  In a desperation move, Jindrak goes for a backslide to catch his opponent off guard, but Payne brings up a quick leg to deliver a low-blow just out of the referee's vision.  Jindrak goes down easily, and Payne's cover finishes off the match securing him the victory.
