NeoQuest
Okay be patient, I'm working on this right now...

NeoQuest Guide

If you've never played NeoQuest start playing NOW! It is extremely fun. I started playing it today (December 30, 2003) because I was shop banned. Too much refreshing o.o. I was running around Pink Poogle Toy and came across guides to NeoQuest. I knew you could win cool weapons and plushies so I just decided to. And BOOM! I fall in love with the game...

Controls
Compass - The compass is used to direct your character around the maps
Movement Type - There are three types of movement: Normal, Hunting and Sneaking:
Normal - An opponent attacks about every 10-12 steps
Hunting - An opponent attacks about every 3-5 steps
Sneaking - An opponent attacks about every 15-17 steps
Options - Shows how many times you've beaten the game in Normal, Evil!, and InSaNe! difficulty, lets you turn NeoQuest music ON/OFF, and lets you start a new game
Leaderboard - Shows who has beaten the game in all three modes in the shortest ammount of time (you won't see me on there o.o)

Ancient Neopia: Getting Started
1. Choosing Skills - There are A LOT of combinations of skills to choose from, but the skill combination I found most effective was:

  • Shock Weapons 1
  • Disable 1
  • Fortitude 1
  • Shockwave 1
  • Life Weapons 1
  • Field Medic 1
  • Lifesteal 1
Using this combination would give you the chance to stun your opponent (which damages them a lot) AND steal life! Very useful indeed!

Now, if you don't know much about NeoQuest, talk to Eleus Batrin, he'll tell you about the quests 'n' stuff. Okay, so you've got your weapons and skills.

2. Training Time - Time to start your quest right? WRONG! First, do some training just around the castle until you are at level 6 or 7 (add the Skill points to Life Weapons until it is at skill 5, then add evenly to the Shock Magic skills). While you are fighting, you will pick up some items:

  • A Chunk of Metal (Fire and Snow Imps)
  • A Small Yellow Gem (Fire and Snow Imps)
  • A Glowing Stone (Plains Aisha)
  • A Blue Thread (Fire and Snow Imps)
Go back to Neopia City and talk to Morax Dorangis. He will offer to make you either a Cloth Robes (using the Small Yellow Gem, Glowing Stone, and Blue Thread) or an Energy Shield (Using the Chunk of Metal, Small Yellow Gem, and Glowing Stone). Just pick one, it doesn't matter. Now you are ready to enter the Dank Caves! Yaaaaay!
