The MILF CCCH in place

The Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (CCCH) of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) is now organized.

"The MILF CCCH is now in place," Eid Kabalu said in an interview by Mindanao Crescent. The MILF has also organized its members in the Local Monitoring Team (LMT), Kabalu revealed.

The monitoring team of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) is not yet organized, Kabalu added.

The failure of the Philippine government to organize its own CCCH and designate its members in the LMT, the two bodies tasked to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, may endanger the MILF-GRP ceasefire, according to residents of the war affected areas.

Asked what will happen if there will be major ceasefire violations, Kabalu said that they will be referred to the MILF and GRP peace panels. But to convene the panels will take time, he added.
