1968 to 1971

For three and a half years, almost every night, Our Blessed Lady was seen above the roof of a  Coptic Church in Zeitun, Cairo. It was a most  beautiful Blessing. In the dark night sky the Mother of God was clearly seen by millions of pilgrims as a figure radiant with light, holding in Her  right hand an olive branch while doves of light flew around her head. Our Lady did not speak but many miracles of healing were granted to the people who attended there, people of all faiths

Clouds of incense, red and fragrant were seen to billow from the closed windows of the church

This place was chosen long before. In 1934 a gentleman in Cairo was Blessed in a dream to hear Our Lady ask him to build a church on a plot of land that he owned promising that it would later be consecrated in a very special way. He died before he could see this great Blessing take place.

Zeitun was chosen as this was the place where the Holy Family lived during exile in Egypt, for three and a half years.
