Today I realized something.
I'm miserable.
I'm in China, I have no real friends. And the people around me are mean. I mean, my coworkers are nice and all. But only to the extent that we work together. I decided in BA10 that I would never set foot in the world of business. People are mean and not nice, but someone talked me out of it. They said, no no no, maybe it's just that way at your school. And I believed them. I believed that the business world could be nice. I was wrong.
And to think, I've come up with this conclusion before I even actually gone and worked with clients in the sales world. I've decided this just by watching my coworkers interact with each other. It's very disheartening. We as a team are supposed to be competing against the salesteams of other box companies. We're not supposed to be competing with ourselves!
I don't like this view of humanity. I miss Berkeley. I need a recharge of positivity.
