It's funny how I just stop writing in my journal for a long period of time. I've been in the States for the past few weeks and it has been absolutely fantastic. They say that you never realize how much you take for granted until it's been taken away from you...
This past week, my supervisor and I went the Wolverine World Wide Vendor Meeting in Michigan. It was soo much fun! I met so many people. Honestly, I don't think we accomplished very much, but I really enjoyed myself. People at Wolverine are really really nice. I met this one guy working for Wolverine out of England, and he was sent to Michigan for a few days to work out the the States. It turns out that he was staying at our hotel and so we got to be pretty good friends over the weekend. =) I learned to speak in an English accent! And although my English accent is still quite cheesy sounding, sometimes I think that he didn't realize that I was trying to speak in an English accent because I sounded so ... English! mwahahaha!!!
So what did I do over the weekend? I went shopping!! and I bought myself a cute little white bikini. My very first bikini! I can't say that I look GOOD in it. But I suppose I don't look too bad either. I was disappointed because the swimsuit place didn't have any one pieces in my size. Ah well. In anycase, since I bought a swimsuit, I decided to go swimming on Saturday. There were so many little kids about! Apparently there was a reunion of families who adopted children from China at the hotel and they all decided to go swimming when Steve (the guy from England) and I did. Afterwards I went to dinner with my co-worker and came back for drinks with Steve. Oh my, did we have fun. I believe I was actually a little bit tipsy by the end of the night. =)
I have decided that Englishmen are cute. However, they have cute accents that cause me to pause on occasion because I can't understand them. Too bad Steve's not a few years younger... hehe...
They say that it's possible to meet people in this business that I can develop a relaitonship with... but from what I've seen, all the people that I meet are like 20 years older than me. That's like... twice my age! They could be my parents!!! Aiyah...
oh well... I suppose that's how the cookie crumbles... Ooh! there WAS one guy that was pretty young, 26 I think, and he was cute and fun, but I think he was married. damn...
