Fort Germantown
Replicas of Howitzer cannons mark the place where 250 Union troops built an earthwork redoubt as part of a series of forts guarding the Memphis and Charleston Railroad during the Civil War. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Germantown Centre
A 133,000-square-foot recreational facility with complete swimming facilities, basketball and volleyball courts, a fitness center, community meeting rooms, and arts and crafts facilities.

Germantown Depot
The center of the Old Germantown District, the depot is the home of a collection of railroad memorabilia. Originally built prior to 1868, the depot was a stop for the Memphis and Charleston Railroad. Rebuilt in 1948.

Germantown Charity Horse Show Arena
Built in 1954, for the Germantown Charity Horse Show, this first-class facility with show rings and white barns is also rented to other horse shows.

Oaklawn Gardens
The grounds of the home of Harry and Becky Cloyes serve as a display for Germantown's historical artifacts. Among the items at the Gardens are the town's first fire truck and the cage-like cell that served as the first city jail.

Cordova Cellars
A family-owned and operated estate winery overlooking the nearby vineyards, the Cellars are open for tours, tasting, and sales. Open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.


Arts & Entertainment

The Germantown Performing Arts Centre
The Performing Arts Centre is designed to achieve maximum excitement from the proximity of the performers to the audiences. The Centre seats 800 in European rows, 500 in the orchestra section, and 300 in the balcony. No seat is further than 55 feet from the tip of the stage. Intimacy is enhanced by the state of the art lighting equipment. The Centre is set in a municipal park with ample free parking.

The Germantown Community Chorus
The GCC is made up of people who love to sing. From teachers and doctors to professional musicians, the chorus blends background and voices for a dynamic effect. The chorus performs three to four concerts a year alternating locations.

Germantown Community Theatre
Now in its 24th season, the GCT is recognized as one of the state's best small community theaters. Housed in a turn-of-the-century schoolhouse, this 118-seat facility features seven productions a year. The theater's lobby functions as an art gallery with exhibits changing with each production.

The Germantown Symphony Orchestra
This group of fifty professional level musicians perform six concerts per year in the Mid-South area. The orchestra, founded in 1975, has volunteer musicians from all walks of life, such as inventors, biologists, and teachers.

The Poplar Pike Playhouse
This playhouse at Germantown High School has received national and international recognition for its superior work in the field of dramatic arts training. Students not only perform on stage, but are also responsible for every element of the theatre production. A full season of theatrical productions includes two mainstage shows, several acting festivals, a touring children's theatre company, and a night of one-act plays.

The Morgan Woods Theatre: The Children's Theatre at GPAC
Children five to eighteen years old participate in all aspects of the theatre from set building to working lights and sound to playwriting and directing, giving the children skills that can be used throughout life.

Memphis Germantown Arts League
Started in 1976, the League is an association of visual artists whose purpose is to support the works of the artists. The League holds four major shows each year.

Germantown Arts Alliance
The Germantown Arts Alliance works to enrich lives through the arts. The alliance does this by securing the financial support that enables the arts to flourish.
