Chapter Six

The next day Melissa woke up with a splitting headache and screamed Ash I think I’m gonna be sick he ran in and went Melissa did you just call me? Yeah Ash I think I’m going to be sick she said and then threw up. Ash went into the bathroom and got a bucket for Melissa and a bucket full of water and soapsuds to clean up what she had already gotten sick from. Jacob woke up and saw that Melissa wasn’t feeling well and got up from his laying position and asked Ash if he could help Ash went no just go get yourself ready we are leaving in about an hour and a half. Melissa went Ash if I’m feeling better can I come and watch you guys practice? He answered in return, yeah why wouldn’t I let you come? I don’t know she sighed and then got up to fall straight back onto her ass, Ash and Melissa both laughed and then Ash helped her up. She got into the shower and let the steaming water run over her for a few minutes and then got out, got dressed, and blow dried her hair. When she was walking down the hall barely paying attention she bumped right into Jacob right as Ash was about to walk into the hallway Jacob fell straight on top of Melissa which Ash did not see and got the wrong impression. Anyway ash was talking to himself and then saw them and screamed Jacob, Jacob looked toward Ash and said yeah “what are you doing?’ Ash said in a more calm voice this time. Dan screamed were leaving in about fifteen min. So if you have to go to the bathroom go now or forever hold it until practice is over he said and then laughed to himself. On the way there Erik fell asleep and was snoring so Ash punched him in the arm he woke up and scram who did that damn that hurt. They all laughed at him and the van pulled to a stop and they stepped out and went into the studio. Mark was already in there he was actually happy this time because the guys were fifteen min. early. Though they got started on their dance moves as soon as they got into the studio so when their dance director got there they would be ready. About an hour into the practice and it was almost over Melissa got sick and practice got cut short so they could take her home and take care of her. What the heck they only had fifteen min left and they came in fifteen min. early so it was sort of fair. On the way home the five guys stopped to get Mc. Donald’s and brought it home they also ordered a Mc.flury for Melissa if she could digest it that is. What Ash had forgotten is that Melissa was lactose intolerant and any milk based things made her sick so she just gave it to Jacob and went Ash did u forget that I was lactose intolerant?? Oh my god Missy I’m so sorry I totally forgot she went it’s ok I’m really not hungry at the moment anyhow she said just then they pulled into the driveway they all got out and went into the house except for Missy and Ash cause Ash walked over and took Melissa by the arm and said hey did you and Josh u know No Ash we didn’t why? Cause you’re sick. I’m only sick because of what happened last night Ash don’t worry k. Then Melissa walked into the house saw Jacob sitting on the couch with his head in his hands and Melissa walked over to him and asked, “what’s wrong?” Oh nothing Jacob went I just have a headache Melissa said she would be back in just a minute then left to get him aspirin when she got back she saw that he had fallen asleep while she was gone because she had to run out to the store to get the aspirin because they didn’t have any in the house. So she just set down the glass of water and the bottle of aspirin down on the coffee table and then laid down on the other couch. Ash came out and saw Melissa just laying there doing nothing at all and asked, “what’s up?” nothing much she said. He looked at her with a questioned look and said are you feeling all right yeah I’m just tired she said and Jacob woke up and said Missy are you ok? You don’t look so good Melissa said I’m tired that’s all. Jacob walked over and sat next to her on the couch and started to rub her back then asked “sweetie would you like me to take you into the bedroom?” Sure I guess she said while looking him straight in the eye. So Jacob got up and carried her into the bedroom and laid her down onto his bed so she wouldn’t have to climb up her bed, which is the top bunk. Then he laid down next her and said are you sure your not sick he said while pushing her hair back behind her ears all the sudden Melissa hopped up and ran into the bathroom Jacob ran in after her and noticed she was puking her guts out (just and statement) he looked at her concerned and held her hair back so nothing would get in it. Ash walked in cause he heard her when he was walking down the hall and said to Jacob I thought she said she wasn’t sick I did to but apparently she is Jacob said in reply. Melissa just got up and walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen and got herself some water and Tylenol then sat on the couch and fell asleep Jacob came out and saw this and said to Ash isn’t she so cute when she’s asleep? Yeah whatever Ash said not liking at all what Jacob just said, Ash was very protective of his little sis and he was upset because he had always been the one to hold her hair back when she was sick and now his best friend is “it’s like he’s trying to take her away from me” Ash thought to himself. Ash, Jacob said what’s wrong you look like someone just stole your little sis away from you “nothing” Ash said while denying what he was really feeling inside. Hey Jake I’m going to go for a walk tell Melissa if she wakes up I’ll be back in a little while. Jacob just sat there in awe that Ash would take off like that when His sister is sick. All of a sudden Melissa woke up and said where’s Ash? He went for a walk Jacob said “oh great he leaves me here sick as hell” she groaned then took off running into the bathroom for a second time.

Ash walked into the house and asked Jacob where his sister was Jacob said she’s in the bathroom “again” Ash said in a more concerned voice this time and ran in he saw Melissa sitting on the floor in front of the toilet and went I’m sorry I didn’t think you’d wake up that soon Ash said she just looked at him and said I’m sick because your friend Josh got me pregnant and when I told him he left me WHAT Ash screamed I’m going to kill that bastard come on Melissa I’m taking you to the hospital to get an abortion she went Ash no Yes ash said and Melissa didn’t feel like arguing so she just followed his lead if mom finds out about this she will kill you Ash said to Melissa while they were driving to the hospital.

Chapter Seven

Two hours later they returned back to the house Melissa was still sick but at least she had only been two months pregnant. Ash said to her you must be sick to right yeah Melissa went Jacob came over and asked where they went Ash said he took Melissa to the Doctor’s Office and that he said she has the stomach flu. Jacob went oh but he knew that wasn’t the truth. Melissa walked over and laid on the couch turned on the television and fell asleep while watching her favorite move entitled “Gone With The Wind.” Ash was really upset that his sister didn’t tell him about that earlier and was really pissed at his friend Josh at the moment and was thinking of many ways to hurt him when he turned around to find Melissa running back into the bathroom so he ran back there before Jacob could. Jacob thought to himself why would ash lie to me? Melissa ended spending most of the day in the bathroom. Which sucked for Ash cause he swore on his mothers word that he would take care of Melissa and his part wasn’t working out to well. Melissa was still sick the next day ash was lucky cause they had the next week off so that was good cause he could take care of her. Hey hun. Jacob said and sat down next to her and kissed her on the forehead ash was watching every minute and getting really pissed he thought to himself “I’ve got to do something to get over this rage every time I see Jacob with missy.” Jacob got up and went over to ash and said can I talk to u?? Ash said sure why?? Is there something u r not telling me about missy?? No why? Ash asked. Never mind Jacob said and dropped the subject. Then went over to see how his baby girl (another one of Jacob’s nick names for missy) was doing. But he was to late ash had already gotten there and was taking care of her. Jacob missy screamed what honey, Come here, ok I’ll be there in a minute. So Jacob hurried up and got to where Melissa was and kissed her on the lips and asked what do u want honey? I just want to spend time with the man I love is that all right? Of course honey why wouldn’t it be? I don’t know with that she kissed him and said I love you Jacob. I love you to Missy with that Melissa fell asleep and didn’t wake up till the next morning. Ash, Jacob screamed what a groggy toned ash screamed back missy is throwing up again and she wants you in the bathroom with her oh ok tell her I’ll be there in a minute I’ve got to put some shorts on, all of a sudden missy screamed Ash I don’t care if you’re in u r boxers get your ass in here ok I’m coming. Hurry up Ash Jacob screamed right before ash walked in, in his Tommy Hilfigier boxers. I’m here are you ok missy? No ash I’m not I’m puking up blood and my throat hurts and my stomach hurts does it sound like I’m ok missy said beginning to cry because the pain in her stomach was outrageous and it hurt like hell to move. Ash said to missy I’m going to take you to the doctor’s office again in a few min. after I get some pants on ok missy said in reply. Ok lets go so missy and ash got into the car and went into the doctor’s office and the doctor had said you came just in time cause I have to get theses appendix out before the explode missy almost fainted when she heard that. But ash squeezed her hand to let her know everything was going to be all right. Ash called jake and said that it turns out missy has appendicitis and has to get her appendix taken out so it might be a while before they get back though Jake rushed over to the hospital and into the waiting room where ash was sitting nervously. Hi ash Jake said oh hi Jake. How’s missy?? I don’t know I’m really worried the other day I took her to get an abortion cause that asshole josh dumped her when she told him that he impregnated her. That son of a bitch Jacob said. I wanted to kill him when missy first told me ash said. About two hours later the doctor came out and said missy is fine but we also have to take her tonsils out cause they are causing the problem with her throat she also has mono. So she needs to get her rest ok sir thank you very much ash said. About an hour later they were back at the house and missy was asleep on the couch and ash was just sitting next to her saying things to her like I’m sorry I wasn’t there for u and he was crying cause he knew she was very sick. Missy woke up and said ash it’s not your fault don’t blame it on your self it’s my fault I should’ve went to the doctors more often and gotten the sleep that I needed. No I wasn’t at home when you needed me at the most it is my fault. Ash no it’s not please listen to me you don’t have anything to do with my health so you didn’t do this to me. I..I just feel so bad that this had to happen to you well don’t everything happens for a reason.

Chapter Eight

About a week later missy was all better and her Jake, ash, Erik, Trevor, and Dan were playing football in the backyard. Missy Erik and Ash were on one team and Trevor, Jake, and Dan were on the other. While they were taking a rest the phone rang so missy ran in to get it when she answered she heard Josh’s voice on the other line and said hi may ask who this is and who you are calling for? It’s josh and I wanted to talk to your brother Ash, ASH PHONE!!!! Missy screamed out the back door COMING ash screamed back he’s coming she said and set the phone on the table ash walked in and asked who is it?? It’s Josh he says he wants to talk to you. Ash immediately got on and screamed you SON OF A BITCH, what?? U heard me you bastard, I take it missy told you what I did, yes she did now if u don’t mind I’d rather not have to talk to you again in my entire life time goodbye. Hey ash they all said as he came out into the backyard and jumped into their heated pool cause they had been playing football in their bathing suites so they could just jump in the pool. Who was it they, all asked. No one important ash said and hopped into the pool. Missy just sat there and stared at him knowing something was wrong she pulled him away from the group and said what’s wrong ash? Everything missy you and Jacob are perfect for each other and I’ve been acting like an ass because I’m trying to protect you from anything that can hurt you and I’m sorry I’ve just got a lot of stuff on my mind ok ash just remember I’m here if you want to talk k. Missy and ash walked back next to each other talking and laughing. Missy jumped into the pool and came up behind Jake the guys were all smirking as soon as they saw missy there and all of a sudden out of nowhere someone dunks Jake underneath the water. All they guys including missy were laughing their Asses off when Jake came back up. He went real nice guys so who did it so I can get them back missy screamed I did it honey. The guys were just laughing cause they knew what he was going to do and she didn’t. Jacob swam over to missy and kissed her and said you brought this upon you so don’t get mad at me ok honey? Yeah sure missy said in a ewe I’m scared sarcastic voice. All the sudden missy was at the bottom of the pool being held down by Jake ash swam over and pushed him off and said ok Jake that’s enough, ok ash Jacob said and helped missy up into his arms and held her there then kissed her ash was actually smiling for the first time in weeks and the guys knew it.

It has now become the next day.

Hey Ash, missy said in a cheerful tone as she was walking down the hallway into the kitchen the next morning. Hey sis what’s up? Nothing much really ash. Jacob walked into the room and wrapped his arms around her waste and pulled her into a kiss. Dan walked out and said “you two get a room I know you love each other but people are trying to digest their breakfast.” Ok dad, missy said in a sarcastic voice. Ash looked over at his sister and Jake while thinking those two make the cutest couple. Umm ash, yeah sis what’s wrong when I was play wrestling with Erik I think he accidentally broke my ankle. Really sis? Yes ash I’m sure. Ok let me take a look at it. So he did and it was really swollen and he said come on sis. I’m taking you to the hospital Jake get your ass over here I need help getting her out to the car ok Jake said and came over and kissed missy on the lips then lifted her up and took her out to the car. Thanks Hun I love you so much, I love you to babe. Jake jumped into the back of the van and they took off to the hospital. Missy came home with a cast and the guys trying to help her do every little thing. You know guys I’m not helpless and if I was I think I would know missy said getting a bit frustrated with the guys asking her if she wants this and if she wants that. They looked at her in awe then ash said we know sis were just trying to help well I don’t need it ok ash! , She said and then hoped into her bedroom holding onto the wall because she didn’t feel like getting her crutches. Ash ran in after her and said I’m sorry sis I guess I got carried away all I wanted to do was help. I know ash but I hate it because I’m used to doing everything myself and I shouldn’t have blew up like that and I’m sorry that I couldn’t see that I do need your help but only a bit at a time k? Cause I’m not used to people helping me. I know sis remember I used to be that way to. So ash helped her out of her room to the couch in the den. Jacob walked over to ash and asked if it was all right to talk to her because she seemed really mad before. Yeah she’s just not used to people doing things for her. Jacob walked over and kissed missy on the cheek and sat down next to her. Missy said hi babe what’s up? Nothing much sweetie why? I dunno just wondering I guess. Missy laid across Jake’s lap and fell asleep. Jake just sat there and watched her sleep ash walked into the room and said hey Jake just don’t hurt her man I don’t think she’ll be able to handle another heartbreak so be good to her ok? Yeah ash I couldn’t hurt her with out it hurting me really bad so why would I want to hurt her I love her to much. Missy woke up kissed Jake and walked over to ash and said don’t worry he won’t hurt me. Ok sis I trust him and you. Thanks ash you don’t know how much that means to us Jake said while smiling uncontrollably. Melissa hugged ash and said thanks bro I love you so much. Same here sis u know I do.
