TWO DOCUMENTARY
FILMS (VCDs)*
To lie
down to death for days…
Ones
who had been in the world’s longest death fast,
Their
thoughts on life and the miraculous side of life.
[Produced & Directed by Metin Yegin; 60 min.;
Subtitled in English; 2001]
This film
starts with a short footage about the prison operations launched by the Turkish
government on December 19, 2000 and includes several interviews with survivors
of the operation and hunger strike, lawyers, physicians, and relatives of the

Hunger
strikes, the longest in the world, have exceeded a period of one year in
Turkey. To date, hundreds of prisoners have become disabled as a result of
contracting the Wernicke-Korsakoff disease that creates a memory inability.
This film is the story of the people who restart their lives everyday, a joint
living struggle of those who in the past prepared for death. [Produced & Directed by Metin Yegin;
25 min.; Subtitled in English; 2001]
This
film is about a home life of several medically disabled survivors of hunger
strike. It shows their daily life and includes interviews with them.
