This film starts with a short footage about the prison operations launched by the Turkish government on December 19, 2000 and includes several interviews with survivors of the operation and hunger strike, lawyers, physicians, and relatives of the survivors.

 

 

AFTER…

Hunger strikes, the longest in the world, have exceeded a period of one year in Turkey. To date, hundreds of prisoners have become disabled as a result of contracting the Wernicke-Korsakoff disease that creates a memory inability. This film is the story of the people who restart their lives everyday, a joint living struggle of those who in the past prepared for death.  [Produced & Directed by Metin Yegin; 25 min.; Subtitled in English; 2001]

 

This film is about a home life of several medically disabled survivors of hunger strike. It shows their daily life and includes interviews with them.
