After the end of the OSW many soldiers from Outshadow ways who had fought for Amber were allowed to stay within the GC. One of them way Relay Mond he scratched out a living with his short stories and with his strange abstract gothic steel sculptures. Some say that he was an accomplished gambler. While still others say it was one of his many lovers who left him the money. Yet others say he borrowed it from loan sharks, but for whatever reason he set about creating a string of great sculptures that he had landscaped into the valuable real-estate he personally purchased in the Garden District. Many still debate what they mean and if they are representative of some story. Over sixty sculpture line the black walk and what is known for sure is as soon as Relay finished his last structure he was found dead in an alley by a knife wound.

The sculptures are steel and range from gothic to downright bone-chilling. Many people who enter the walk not knowing what it is, turn around and leave before they are done. Generally it is a cross between HR Geiger and an Atomic Bomb.
