The Easter Redoubt has long been the weak link in Amber's Defense from the sea. The cliffs here are not as high as it's Western Redoubt neighbor and several times this fortification has been taken in a surprise attack. The Crown has vowed to make sure this does not happen again and the current East Redoubt is currently under heavy construction. New longer range siege missile weapons have been brought in and weekly the crews practice fire.

            The tireless Maya Havland a native Amberite of the Eastpoint has taken upon her own shoulders to turn the Eastern Redoubt around. She has erased the stigma of the Eastern Redoubt (Who wants to serve is a fortress that has been taken) She forced the expansion of the Redoubt, She has turned things around there. Where once officers unfit or out of favor were stationed there, now every new city guard wants a tour in the East.
