No one seems to recall who delivered, or who commissioned the statue. As far as anyone can remember the statue just appeared there one day. The statue is of Eric laying exhausted and wounded clutching the Jewel and is handing it upwards. It is double life size and of amazing detail. Rumor in the Gate district is that it that the statue is haunted and that the ghost of Eric walks the area at night. Expect to see no one on the streets around this area when the sun goes down. Eric is said to have died on the very spot but there seems to be some debate on the subject.
