They mystic colleges have long been a major player in the city of Amber. They have always been cooperating bodies without much focused efforts until the creation of the University of Amber. This has galvanized them politically and under the agreed leadership of  the Master of Colleges they have recently began to make waves for the University of Amber. Though there are literally dozens of mystical orders the most powerful six houses are all gathered on Paltir street. Here is a list of the six houses and what they believe.  Astrology- Seeking truth in stellar order. Numerology- Seeking truth in the transcendence and purity of numbers. Mnemonic order- Seeking truth through extreme mental conditioning. Alchemist- Seeking truth understanding mystical chemistry. Pathist- Seeking truth through understanding the conditions of the mind. Sorcery- Seeking truth through sorcery and conjuration
