Long before the walls of old Amber stretched to Kolvir the lands of the Ivory district were a common location for builders and stone masons to work their trade. Here several large excavations were made for stone. Most of them were filled in for the water works but two exist in closer proximity making a sort of figure eight design with entrances where both digs conjoin. This area was long ago plaid out as a location for hard building stone for streets and for some time was more or less abandon. There Quarries became home to the Hunly of Amber who thought the isolation of the Quarry area and it's debris filled floors were more like home. Slowly the Hunly began to build up along the walls of the quarry in the cliff dwelling style they are used too at home. Quarry town is like it's own city with in Amber. It runs by it's own rules and few who do not live there venture in.
