              The construction of Amber's University was not easy nor was it quick. Started by a lesser known noble by the name of Brigid who fought tooth and nail with the GC, the RBL and the Crown to get the University build. Started in the year 45 during the OSW construction was stopped and slowed time and time again. Brigid was not deterred and despite the many delays never stopped fighting to complete this great feature.

            Not until after PFW and even then the meddling of the GC almost aborted its final stages, was it finally finished in the year 133. One day after being opened Brigid died and is buried in the rotunda under the crest that bares the words all students there repeat. "All that can be known, can be learned"  

            Amber has always been a center of education. Before the University this education mostly took place at the more informal and smaller colleges that dot the one true city. With the completion of the University of Amber one sees a major force for standardization and organized education that forces out the smaller colleges.  The Colleges fear the University and hate it for damage it has done them. Whatever topic is incorporated at the curriculum of the University another college or two closes down.
