This collection of flotsam covers nearly eight acres of the bay. This flotilla is made up of cast off and abandoned ships and hulks floating and submerged. It is a constant work in progress for its disheveled tenants, whatever flotsam they can gather is put into the vast structure. Its primary components are single and two story raft type structures built of driftwood logs, cast off wood and floating debris. It has within its structure several floating hulks that form the flophouses and squatters apartments which are the only public housing on the structure. The whole structure is joined together by gangways and floating bits of stuff.

Alcohol and drugs are rampant on the tenement, they have supplanted the common currency for nearly any goods that are commonly available. Some notable fixtures of the tenement are Boyle’s Hole a pub in the hull of a partially burnt-out hull of a galley. Notorious for its epic brawls and as a womb of dissent giving birth to riots.

Churlys Net an old beach comers shop which is dedicated to found objects of value found around the bay. Old Churly is a recluse and a bit mad, but is an excelent and accurate appraiser of anything that crosses his path. He owns an old hand pumped diving suit, which works but is in extreme disuse.

And a place called The Bascinet, built of the remnants of some type of submersible this fish mongers shop has several leaky portals that look down to the bottom of the harbor, through murky waters.
