Once the primary storage source for water in amber it was fed from a natural spring bubbling up from deep under the one true city. Weather conditions in Amber though often warm in the summer never reaches drought and a good thing too for the old reservoir was never enough for amber. It has been replaced by recent water improvements and now is only a back up and even then used mainly to aid in the draining of Amber's new and improved sewer network.

            Though relegated to second hand functional status it's single redeeming quality is that it is a stunningly beautiful structure. It is build up above ground in what looks like the roman coliseum only larger. Every arch and brick was given beautiful detailed work. So massive is this structure that many joke that it is the box that the Unicorn Cathedral came in.

            Inside dripping stairways lead you to the top of the great man made lake. Once a year the grounds keeper takes people on tour until he is fed up with answering the same old stupid questions. The rest of the year he just keeps people out.
