Here is a common hall for merchant sailors and common sailors in the navy. You will not find officers here. Here those that do the day to day work of shipping come when they are on hard times or just want to meet with other like minded sailors. This hall performs many tasks as job training, retirement home, benevolent society, a tavern and social meeting area.  The sailors hall is very influential in the West View District. It has grown is size, wealth and membership to the point that it is a political power locally.

            Capt. William Brahms lost his right leg during the OSW but that has not slowed him down one bit. He has proven to be a genius at investing the money of the Sailors hall to such benefit that it has tripled the structure size, quadrupled the membership and increased the quality of service
