Admiralty Point

Description: At the very tip of the west spur of Amber this has long been the center to the Amber Navy. Here you will find both the Naval Academy and the Fleet command. Here you will also find the greatest assortment of drinking establishments, almost every major intersection has a public house of one kind or another. Woe to the member of the Army that ventures into this district for they face abuse from all direction, Though good natured it can be ruff. There is so little space for merchants that most of the buying by pointers must be done in neighboring Districts.
Type of Homes: here having suffered little damage from any wars in the past mean you will find some of the oldest homes in Amber. Most of them are traditional square flat roof with a blue gray stucco exterior. Most have small yards and gardens and broad porches.
Make up of people: Here
many naval officers live, raise their families and retire. It is decidedly upper
middle class without being Merchant class. Here you will also find a great
percentage of foreigners who have totally adapted to Amber. The people here
usually have some item of naval origins in there dress. Naval hats are common
here for youths of both sexes. A very traditional part of Amber where the
citizen prefer to keep to themselves. They do not hold many fairs or events, but
do travel to the other districts and their events.
Type of Roads: The roads here are narrow curdles affairs of loose cobblestone in need of some repair. Unlike most of Amber the roads here were set down in an orderly grid like fashion. Finding your way around this district is exceptionally easy. Most of the streets are named for great captains, sea battle or ships. Over all
History: Long the center of the Admiralty long before the city of Amber even reached this far. Those that originally came to live here came to surround themselves in a culture totally devoted to the service of the throne in the navy. Here you will see naval flag and amber flag atop of any major business of house.
Attacked many times and damaged but never taken (See battle of Cabra) this District is fiercely proud and very different from most other districts here the loyalty is to navy first then the Crown.
Current Information: The District is going through major renovation and most of the streets are being reset with new stones. Over four dozen work crews are busy bringing the roads back up to par. The Pointers are tired of all the pothole jokes. Common joke: "What did the Admiral say when he fell into a bottomless pit? Ah home at last." Ok it looses something in the translation but in Amber it's all the rage. The Raider Ball Team from here is the reigning champion of Amber.
